Is it better for QBs to fall?

Maybe we do it, then move back in the second to get better in line with the value for the talent we want in that round, and add a 4th/5th for our trouble. Getting Donald, passing on some second round targets but still getting a player we like, and turning our 3rd into a 5th sounds a lot better to me than not getting either of our top targets in the first round.

Yea, I guess it depends on how good they think Donald is going to be. If they think he is going to be a 10 yr all-pro, then it probably is worth a 3rd.

Donald, Barr, or Beckham are my top three "wants"...........hopefully one will be at 16 so we don't have to trade, but if it looks like we might get wiped out I could live with giving up a 3rd.

I hope the Big 4 all go in round 1 so the likes of McCarron, Mettenberger, Garrapolo, & Savage go high in round 2 to push better talent down to us at 47.

I hate it, too. But, honestly, there are players likely to be available in the 5th for us that I like almost as much as some guys likely to be available in the third. And I don't love where we're sitting relative to the talent we'd be targeting in the second, anyway (afraid our positions of need might be taken early in the second--because we need pass rushers and they always are at a premium--and after they're gone, there's a long list of good players I'd be happy with). I could live with a trade down if we were still able to get the same number of (albeit lower) picks during the real meat of this draft.

If you're a fan of trading down, it's probably better if one of the top QBs makes it to #16.

On the flip side, it makes it less likely that Barr or Donald make it to #16.

This team has so many needs..

what difference does it make.?

There will be somebody at 16 we desparately need.

Try not to sweat it.

I have all the QBs falling making Zack Martin, Donald and Barr off the board with Beckham Jr. on the bubble. I don't see a team trading up unless it's really cheap for a QB because from reading news on the QB needy teams if they pass early they are content to wait until the 2nd round or later. Jags GM expecting the run on QBs to start round 2
