does it seem like the only fans that don't believe that it was an accidental overdose are Commanders fans? Even Eagles fans that I talk to believe it was an accidental overdose. Some Browns fans I talked to all thought it was an accidental overdose quite early yesterday.

I guess losing 27-10 makes people loopy.

It's the Commanders, they are in Washington DC. They are never bipartisan.

Just call it political garbage.

Well, it allows the Commander fans to cover their naked inadequacy and self-loathing with a perceived scrap of superiority. ("We suck but at least our players don't try to kill themselves!") *sigh* Such sad little people...

Well, honestly, if the roles were reversed, you would have heard a lot of negative things from Cowboys fans as well. The difference is that I don't think you'd have heard nearly as many Cowboys fans wish that TO was hurt or died as a result.

No, just other people. Didn't Sean Taylor shoot at someone?

I just think it's weird that Philly fans.....the ones that should downright loathe Owens....understand and believe that it was an accidental overdose. The rest of the fans of the NFL who've followed the story are the same way. Yet, Commanders fans claim differently.

Yes but to someone with a thuggish mentality, like a Skins fan, killing someone else is almost bad-***. Killing yourself is weak.

The man was realeased from the hospital 16 hours after the 911 call, apparently without additional evaluation being deemed necessary to ensure that he wasn't suicidal. A few hours later he was speaking coherently and smiling at a press conference and then catching passes on the practice field shortly after that.

Would this all make sense if he had taken 35 pain pills?

What in the hell do those who insist on thinking of it as a suicide attempt have to hang their hats on .........? An initial police report that anyone should realize was only a preliminary presentation of what the police were told and observed and WAS NOT the result of an investigation .......? It doesn't take a legal genius to realize the fallacy in that.

Stay away from Extremeskins.

Their offense was capable of scoring 3 points on us.

It's like they were standing at a trough urinal, feeling pretty good about themselves, then they take a quick glance down the line at the 6-5" tall brother in the muscle shirt, and they're like "whoa. I can't compete with that."

So they say things like "Yeah, but he's got acne."

My analogies make no sense.

Commanders' fans are letting their hope get in the way of their thinking.

The Eagles' and Giants' fans look at their own teams and have a realistic belief that their team is better than the Cowboys. The Commanders' fans understand that their team can't really compete with the Cowboys and realize that their only hope is that Owens explodes and brings the Cowboys back to their lower level.

Consider the source(s):

All offseason, they had hung their collective "hats" on their two victories over the Cowboys last season and how theirs was a "playoff team" headed in the right direction.

Now, they follow up a poor preseason with two clunker performances and a loss to their most hated rival.

All they have to talk about now is a win against the league's worst team until reality slaps them across the face once again in the form of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Of course they'll continue to try to "get mileage" out of the Owens story.

They don't have much else at this point.......

It's definitely the Commanders media. I live in MD and listen to Sportstalk every morning and afternoon. This last week, for some reason, every single person that is interviewed on the radio is asked about what they think regarding TO and this last incident regardless of if they are in football or if their reason for being interviewed was on a completely different subject matter all together. WHY???? Goodness! For being 1-2, I would think there would be much more to talk about then TO. Then again, what better way to divert your fans ire of how crappy your team looks then to bring up an issue with their arch rival.

And to comment on another person's response, isn't it interesting that Sean Taylor's off the field issues never was thoroughly discussed even when it was current info. on the radio or tv? All you hear about is how great a hitter Sean Taylor is and how everyone fears him. I give him props on his hitting, but don't cover the fact that you were scared he would be in jail for the rest of his career. Again, for those Commanders fans who frequent here, I realize that Sean Taylor is in the same mold of RW, but don't act like you don't have any players on your team with questionable character. Every team has them.

This is the case EVERY SINGLE YEAR!! Didn't you know the Commanders are going to win the Super Bowl? Just tune into the radio, tv, or talk to any Skins fans before the season starts. It never fails. Shoot...the NFL should just give them the trophy before the season starts with how optimistic they are. Man....if you could bottle up their optimism each year that they will when it all, you potentially have a product that could heal the blind and allow them to see again! :lmao:

I realize that Sean Taylor is in the same mold of RW,

Same mold?

Roy hasn't given up 3 TD's already this year and have a 15 face mask that helped them lose the game.

Roy needs to get new mold.

I live in the DC area and I've talked to several people (not just Commanders fans, there's a lot of other fans here) and most think it was a suicide attempt. They basically said "The police report said one thing, TO said another. I believe the police".

Usually after I argued for a while I was able to convince them it was probebly accidental by pointing out that it wasn't an official police report, he didn't have his stomach pumped, and he we released by the hospital and practicing the next morning.

The problem is most people don't have knowledgable Cowboys fans to argue with and they'll continue to think he's lying and has orchestrated a coverup.

I agree. About half of the skins fans dont want to accept the facts. They reaally do want it to be a suicide fact.

I was arguing over there like 2 or so days ago, and when the media announced that T.O. was practicing, i posted the story, and no one beleived it. They kept saying that they wouldnt believe it untill they saw it.

I guess everyonr thinks this is a big conspiracy and is a huge coverup in Dallas
