Is it possible our new position coaches are out of their depth?

...that our new QB coach (Kellen Moore), our new WR coach (Sanjay Lal) and our new TE coach (Doug Nussmeier) are all out of their depth?

From Dak to Gallup to Swaim, I don’t see anyone stepping up their games.

Could it be the coaching?

Granted, they all work under Linehan, but it seems awful coincidental that there’s little consistency in the passing game since these three took over their respective jobs.

The occasional Cole Beasley 7yd reception can’t carry the team.

The rot goes through the entire team.

good place to start.
players take blame too...but just look at how all 3 QBs performed this pre-season...and we are still talking about WRs and ability to run routes as well......but they can carry bricks on a straight line tho.

All three are dealing with subpar talent.

Aikman made another observation about the team yesterday. He said there were two good route runners, Beasley and Austin.

Hurns was more effective in JAX so that could be the coaching system and play calls but could also be partly on the QB.

Kellen Moore was a joke. Hell I would actually prefer to watch him QB at this point.

I was going to start a thread suggesting the offensive problems might be linked to line coach Paul Alexander.

The Bengals had one of the worst o-lines last year under his watch. Now they're much improved under Frank Pollack, our previous OL coach.

I think Alexander may be teaching techniques that don't suit the players on hand. I'm not suggesting Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, etc. have forgotten how to play; but if they are following Alexander's coaching.....who knows at this point?

Everyone here was flying to their keyboards to justify the Paul Alexander hiring, because for their worldview to be accurate, everything Dallas (and Jerry) does has to be the right choice.

Never mind the fact that Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, with his .527 winning percentage and 0-7 playoff record, told Bengals owner Mike Brown it was either Alexander or him. Alexander had been with the Bengals for 23 years, 8 years longer than Marvin Lewis.

You're right, but to be fair, Alexander was actually in Cincinnati longer than Lewis. Not that that matters.

when teams win they have GREAT coaching/./........ when they lose, they have crappy coaching????

So did Jimmy Johnson suck his first year, and then gradually start figuring it out?

Have the Pats coaching started going downhill? after all, they have the great Tom Brady and are sitting at 1-2

Did Zimmer forget how to coach this weekend?

Hey, in the NBA, Luke Walton was amazing with the Warriors..... did he hit his head on the way down to LA and forget how to coach???

Last year the Niners were horrible, and Jimmy G showed up and they won 5 in a row.... did Shanahan all of the sudden figure it out?

And the greatest example in the history of showing you how much coaching is NOT the deciding factor.... did the Browns coaches eat some spinach at halftime of their game Thursday night? Because they coached like dog crap in the first half, and coached like Vince Lombardi in the 2nd half.

It is not that complicated.

It is not that complicated.

They changed out the three most critical passing game assistants WHILE transitioning from both a future HOFer TE and the WR who holds the team record for receiving TDs.

They then compounded their unfortunate decisions by giving their third-year QB very few preseason snaps with the replacements.

It’s even less complicated than you think.
