Is it possible that Ayodele might not make the team?

Yes. It's 100% schtick that one of the regulars started after Nors was shipped off. My guess is it's superpunk.

nahh I know Super from outside this board. Its not him

First - I don't care for Ayodele. I think we overrate him here. He may be solid, but the only way he is starting by the end of the season is if someone else is hurt.

That being said - he will stay ahead of Shanle on the depth chart.

Shanle will never be more than a backup - his coverage is garbage and he is solid at best against the run.

Ya gotta love gimmick posters. They stick to the idiocy even when the coach says they are wrong LOL

P.S. I think Parcells may know more about this than you

Never say never.....probably likely won't happen, but Ayodele has not impressed The Answer one bit. He was great in the Del Rio's simplified 4-3 in JAX....but then again he had Stroud and Henderson blowing up plays left and right up front, allowing the LB's to wreak havoc up the middle.

Shanle on the other hand is the quintessential parcells player....AND he has raw talent playing in the 3-4, anybody who has studied the game film as closely as The Answer has would realize this...he looks a lot bigger than I thought he was too, the offseason workout program most certainly was a rigourous one!

The Answer thinks it was a mistake to let Mroz go....scouted this kid for months and he has some talent...

Is his talent piano, yodeling, or dramatic reading? :D

Ayodele is very overrated...and The Answer addressed this in his last response.

As for Shanle, garbage don't start with the 1st team in the preseason. His coverage is rock solid, and his run stuffing ability is Zach Thomasesque...he seems to alway be around the football.

This kid is coming into his own entering year 4 and The Answer prognosticated big things for him weeks ago.....stay tuned.

Is it narcissism, or do you really expect us to crown you as the Board Expert on Football? I don't get into too many ridiculous threads like this, outside of a comment or two, and even less common do I get into an argument with a single poster.

But your attitude in saying things like that, when we have quite a good collection of very intelligent, football knowledgeable fans here who know the game better than ANY lay-fan, is nothing short of insulting and disrespectful to your fellow board members.

I'm not buying it. Even if he honestly told you it wasn't him, you wouldn't just openly (and honestly) admit it on the board, ruining his schtick.

The Answer has never claimed to be the board expert.....he will always remain an entity, until the day comes when The Answer transcends pro football message boards and has his own sports radio show.

As for my football knowledge, yes The Answer may very well be another hardcore fan, but he does have inside sources and connections that pass along valuable information to him from time to time...in fact The Answer happens to know a few scouts as well, including one in the New England front office....rumor has it that the patriots have a strong interest in Shanle. So if one of the best, if not best front offices in the NFL is eyeballing the beast what should that tell you?

That he's a quality backup and since we're loaded on LB talent we can get value for him.

We will see if your right or full of it because the trade stuff should happen here in the next month. BTW they are looking at him because they are weak at LB because of injuries.

They are looking at him because he's a starting NFL linebacker that can play in multiple systems, including the 3-4 which Belechik is an architect of...also Scot Pioli sees a young Tedy Bruschi, the exact reason we are most likley keeping him unless unless the Pats are willing to cough up Richard Seymour, then even The Answer might consider trading The Beast-le in exchange.

Smith22 says The Answer should focus on asking better questions.

Shanle looked like the weak link to me with the 1st teamers.

Mickey was discussing this on his Ranch Report on D & M this morning. Shanle and Coleman both started the game on defense. Neither one is likely to make the team this year with the depth that we now have at their positions. It is likely that they were being presented against first team opposition to give potential trade partners a look at them against top players. They were being shown off to potential buyers...so to speak.

Shanle has very little chance of making this team and Ayodele will be starting. It is probable that Carpenter will take that job from him down the line; maybe even later this year. But Shanle has no shot left with Carpenter moving inside behind Ayodele. And make no mistake, at this point he IS behind Ayodele.
