Is it time for Jerry to adopt a new way of thinking/running this team?

Too often if feels that Jerry is stuck in his ways with trying to assemble a team. We know there's a need, he knows there's a need, but addressing it the right way doesn't seem to be something Jerry wants to do. When you've known how to do one thing for so long and it's worked out well for you, then you don't want to change. Times are changing, new ideas, new thoughts, new tendencies have to be adapted. Please give your thoughts, what can Jerry do to do things differently????

He can hire a real GM and fire himself and his idiot son. But of course he should have done that 30 years ago. Nothing's going to change.
There's still hope right, especially after we clear some of these heavy contracts/dead money off our books

Well if you go back 22 years Bill Parcells showed him the blueprint. I think it ended up in Jerry's shredder and it's been downhill ever since
yeah because you can't be more of a GM than he is, you can't tell jerry how to do a football job and still expect to be on his team

It’s at the very least about 25 years overdue for Jerry Jones to do things differently.

The best thing Jerry Jones ever did for this franchise was hire a head coach with enormous talent and let that man have the authority and leeway to run the locker room and personnel. It’s what gave us those SBs in the 90s. It’s part of what what made this franchise so incredibly popular (along with those 70s teams)

The worst thing JJ ever did - and continues to do - is believe he and his son can build a roster to compete for a SB. They’ve had nearly three decades to do it in the cap era and they clearly do not know how to do it. They are blinded by their own arrogance.

The obvious best thing to do for the Jones FO is hire a GM and back away. Hold that GM accountable for the results he and Stephen have not been able to do. Give that GM 5 years with full authority to hire a HC, draft players and get results. If they don’t, fire them and try someone else.

There‘s a reason the winning owners of the last 28 SBs all hired a GM.

The other thing is, (knowing JJ will never let the above happen) is for this FO to recognize you cannot build a SB contender through just the draft and some cheap FAs. Until they learn THAT I don’t expect anything other than what we’ve been getting.

This has gotta be the most obvious thread question ever asked with almost no ambiguity in the answer. I say this as someone who defends Jerry occasionally

Well , Jimmy Johnson can influence some good moves and decisions, but will Jerry' s ego allow him to listen to the man . That is the big deal going forward .Let ears be wide open , to what coach Johnson can add to this team, let us pray.

Only thing that will change his way of thinking is a historically bad season...not the losing that will bother him, but the declining viewership. Gotta hang around that rim. Even a losing record will be okay if we play the games close and keep it exciting. I'm talking a 2-3 win season and lopsided blowouts.

Jerry will not change. We seen his all in change so far. It has been the same, if not less than usual.
However, we still have a long way to go to see how it all shapes up.

Next up, a few low, probably very low level signings at this point. Not sure who all is out there as FA's that can provide anything but some depth. Hopefully provide depth that is.
In about 2 weeks, regardless what happens, we will get the .... we are focusing on the draft to improve the roster ... talk.

Bill really did not show Jerry anything.
He brought in all of his over the hill players instead of doing something all other teams did, and are still doing.

If you truly want change knock him off the #1 Revenue . That’s the only way .
Only way this will happen is, if everyone that said they were done with this team, would actually be done with this team. This won't happen, so Jerry and Stephen won't need to change.
