Is it time to pull the plug?

I told myself that this would be the last season/chance that I would give this current Cowboys team to make a playoff run, but I just can't see this team turning the season around and actually making the playoffs. If I was Jerry, the biggest question to me would be when do you say enough is enough with this group? Do you continue to try and contend and build around a aging Romo, Witten, and Ware, or do you draft or sign a high profile qb and start a new era? I honestly am torn about which way to turn on this issue.

It's past time. Do you have any confidence that Jones can actually rebuild the team though? It's at the point with the Cowboys that there'd be no hope even in starting over.

Suck it up. They're a finger away from sweeping the Giants. They're a kick and a finger away from being 5-2. Why are their so many puss fans who want to just mail it in constantly? If the Cowboys can get a running game going and eliminate the stupid mistakes, they can roll over alot of teams. They are that close. 6 turnovers and they still almost won!

Pull the plug....:lmao2:

Listen to you people.....you might as well commit suicide the way you all are behaving.

"I told myself that this would be the last season/chance that I would give this current Cowboys team to make a playoff run"

Seriously? Just stop....

I expect the Cowboys to continue to fight. I really don't care what fans do. I have never watched a Cowboys game with fans in mind. Will they make it or not there is no way to know that right now. If they continue as is then no they will not make it but I don't think this team will give up

Why is my thread so preposterous? As an owner the bottom line is obviously winning. This current Cowboy team has trouble in that department, so if you were Jerry do you continue to try and contend with this team, or do you go in a new direction? And where do you get this suicide crap? I said nothing about going all doom and gloom, but I'm trying to be objective about the current state of the Cowboys. Instead of feebly attempting to pycho-analyze my suicidal tendoncies, try instead to objectively ask yourself do you believe this current Cowboys team is a championship contender, or do you have to consider rebuilding, or going in another direction, as far as a new head coach, and, or, a new qb, etc...?

I was impressed with how the Boys fought back yesterday, but was also really disappointed with how they got behind so quickly in the game, considering how important the game was midway thru the season.

Giving up, after you have worked so hard to put all these pieces in place, which are dam good talent wise. Screams doom and gloom.

Our problem is we lack a true leader. You see how the D plays inspired football? You see how Rob inspires our D to shut the giants up, after all that "We didn't execute" crap?

That's what we need on offense.

I'm sorry, but Garret not challenging these guys and simply saying "It's a process, we can do better, ect" it horse ****. Rob Ryan challenges these players.

We need a leader. I still have hope Garret can turn it around and light a fire under us, but the problem is not the players specifically. Defense is evidence of that with the coach who is coaching them.

So how many times do you say this each year? Stupid mistakes... 'almost' winning games... not even going to mention Panthers game where we should have rolled over them... it's a familiar trait every year for the Cowboys with their vaunted talent. Not saying to act crazy and not be a fan anymore, but it is very dissapointing especially for a NFL team with this much invested.

Don't pull the plug if the guy trying to plug it back in will keep trying to do so with the plug upside down.

I have no faith in Jerry Jones at all. None.

There yea go. IMO, this would of been a better reply to my post, than your previous one. My only intention for this thread was to find an answer on how to fix this team. I would seriously consider promoting Rob Ryan. But I would also have to consider a change at qb, considering Romo needing a new deal as well as his age and lack of playoff success. I say this with no opposition if Romo is still the qb for the future as well. I'm just trying to look at the big picture for this team.

Only way you dump Romo is if you have a better replacement available. The Cowboys do not and will not as long as Jerry Jones is choosing the players.

Cowboys haven't even played half their games yet. The way some of you sound they might as well close down Jerry's World, move the team to L.A., and call them the Quakes or something.

You should know by now, that Jerry isn't going nowhere. So unless it just makes you feel better bashing Jerry, I personally try to think about improving the team with Jerry at the helm.

I just think with New direction,an actual coach, and not these cotton candy coaches we can actually do something.

I was undecided when people said we should promote Rob, but now I'm kinda all for it.

If Romo still screws up, then we can think about him. imo

I'm not bashing Jerry Jones. I think he is a good owner. I'm just stating facts...he is a terrible GM.

Only one constant the last 17 years. One.

It's BEEN time to blow this Popsicle stand

Oh, for God's sake...

"What we need" is more than 1 legitmate, NFL starting caliber, offensive lineman. You would be amazed at how good this team would look if we could actually block people on a regular basis.

Rob Ryan has much better collective unit on defense than Jason does on offense.

Get a clue. They both suck
