Desperately needed him tonight. Keeping Michael Golladay, I mean Gallup, over him was not the move.

Nope! Not if you understand they went to a 12 personal base offense. Cooper would have been hit in the mouth early and gone into his shell like always and not made a bit of difference in this game. Getting that 20 million off the books was this best decision for both this season and going forward. It’s not the last year there will be football!

Exactly why? Did you forget the reason he was traded?

If he were on the Cowboys, do you think it would have made any difference tonight?
Yes, I think it very well could have. He is still a decent receiver and we have a gaping hole at the position. I could deal with the trade if Cooper was replaced, but he wasn’t. You can’t really win deep in the playoffs in this league if you don’t have strong pass catching options. The Bills are a perfect example this year, as are the Cowboys. The only team remaining without a superior pass catching group is KC and even they have Kelce and a group of mid-level players at least, along with Mahomes.

The trade may have been necessary, I don’t know the behind the scenes aspects, but doing nothing to replace Cooper with a like player while you had the cap space to do so is negligent mismanagement.

I didn't have issues with the trade. What I had issues with was that they did not really try hard to replace Amari's production.
They were incredibly arrogant thinking that a 3rd round rookie and Washington was enough to replace Amari.
We got nothing from that 3rd round rookie and Washington. Literally nothing.

What he doesn't realize what helped make Gallup was Cooper's presence, now he is a no 4.

If they actually DID something with the freed up money from the cooper trade or they got something more than a FIFTH rounder, I wouldn't be so annoyed, but this FO has created a dumpster fire. The Eagles can literally win the superbowl this year and have two 1st rounders, one which is top five I believe. Meanwhile we trade our best WR for a FIFTH rounder and bring in budget vets with that money
