Is it time to revisit the Cooper trade

The Cooper thing pissed me off however it probably wouldn't have mattered anyways.

Most teams/ QBS will force feed their number one reciever and let them go make plays. Dak won't even look his direction some plays and will throw a check down pass.

Warner and a couple others broke down several games last year and called this out. You could tell he was getting frustrated as hell towards the end

You would have had two number 1 wrs if you kept Cooper. Clearly Dak needs Wrs that can help him out of some of these terrible throws. Add to the fact that Gallup is a shell of himself.....That decision came back to bite us as I thought it would when it was made.

While I didn’t agree with the Cooper trade I at least hoping that the FO had a plan in place to find another WR to stretch the field.

Dak needs someone like Cooper to function against teams that aren't trash. He covered up for alot of Dak's deficiencies.

Cooper didnt even make the playoffs. Getting rid of Cooper was 100% the right move. This season proved that without a doubt.
This is the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile, a wr didn't make the playoffs so the decision to trade our number 1 wr for a 5th round draft pick is justified. You can't make this stuff up!!!

Amari was done with Dak and was pretty vocal about it.

He had to go, but they should have gotten more for him.

Long term I understood a financial reason to move on. A restructure this year would of had a 22-26mil cap hit for this year, with more dead cap if they wanted to move on now due to the new prorated bonus.
However, the plan to go with an injured physically/mentally Gallup, Noah Brown and a rookie backfired for a team that GM thinks is always in win now mode.

Zeke - 10 for 26
Pollard before broken leg - 6 for 22

Gallup, TY, Brown - 3 for 36
Shultz - 5 for 27

The entire offensive success was dependent on Dak and Ceedee who rushed for 28 and passed/caught for 117. That’s a problem because Dak cannot win with that limited offense. He ends up throwing to receivers who can’t be trusted with defenders jumping their routes (bad decisions) or forcing the ball to Ceedee no matter where he is. Bad game by Dak, but he is a QB who needs at least 2 weapons and would probably be best with 3. Jerry realized way too late that Gallup is not a #2. I’ve never seen him so openly active chasing receivers off the street or by trade during the season…..first Cooks and then OBJ.

The move never made any sense to me since day one. Been saying it ever since.

Yes, I think it very well could have. He is still a decent receiver and we have a gaping hole at the position. I could deal with the trade if Cooper was replaced, but he wasn’t. You can’t really win deep in the playoffs in this league if you don’t have strong pass catching options. The Bills are a perfect example this year, as are the Cowboys. The only team remaining without a superior pass catching group is KC and even they have Kelce and a group of mid-level players at least, along with Mahomes.

The trade may have been necessary, I don’t know the behind the scenes aspects, but doing nothing to replace Cooper with a like player while you had the cap space to do so is negligent mismanagement.
The trade was unnecessary.

It wasn't the money. Cleveland converted Cooper's contract and he was on the books for a million this year. Jerry gets in his feels and makes clown moves. Just like trashing and bad mouthing Cooper while trying to trade him. Even if Cooper didn't have a great games he opened up a lot of real estate with doubles and rolling coverage for others to eat. The defense had to respect he was on the field.
You would think that football minded people would understand this.
