I'd prefer he play so there can be no "what if's" when it comes to him. Because even when he comes back he'll have the injury excuse the rest of the season.

He got that fat contract because he got injured at the right time.

Rush isn’t good but Dak is worse right now. He’s lost all confidence. Sitting out the season and recalibrating may be what he needs to jump start his career.

I remember some folks were excited when Dak got hurt in 2019 - even saw some "now we have a real QB" posts. Yeah, some QB savants here.

I didn't have high expectations for this team in 2022, but they didn't go up when Dak went down. Am I supposed to be excited about next year's draft pick after week one?

I'm actually relieved in one area. I'm sad for Dak the person, but Dak the football player peaked several years ago. After the Denver game he hasn't been good. He's been pretty bad actually. I agree this may be the best thing long term for the Cowboys because I believe Romo was really good and Dak was really good for a while. The QB play masked the deficiencies of the FO. Dak has regressed and pre thumb injury he looked like a backup QB playing in the preseason. He did not look like a 7 year starter in the same system. As a football player I think he's done.

This is the best for us because Jerry and Stephen will have to actually do their jobs and build a team instead of relying on an average QB to get average results. This may be the catalyst to the blow up or rebuild. Either way we suck if Dak is in or out. Maybe more embarrassing national TV losses will further expose the front office. But I said I was relieved, I'm relieved in the fact that hopefully this game and this injury pops Jerry's delusional denialism. That's what we can hope for now. He needs to be embarrassed. Sucks for Dak as a person and I'm glad he got paid but let's move on to someone with a higher ceiling.

This is exactly how I feel, I’d rather have a record of 4-13 than 6-11 or so… this team wouldn’t do anything with or without Dak.

We need to have a high draft pick tho get a new QB and of course we beed a new HC as well.
