First an apology for yet another Jerry-Garrett thread, but that is, afterall, the ginormous story of the moment.
This thought has crossed my mind a few times, and now I've heard more than a couple analysts say aloud what I'm thinking. I'm sure many of you are, too.
Is Jerry harkening back to that dark day of 1993, trying to re-create a Jimmy Johnson scenario in order to get Garrett gone soon?
By all but forcing Jason to fire his brother - it was confirmed that John Garrett has contacted Delaware State about a gig - and stripping him of his playcalling duties, is Jerry manufacturing one of those situations that always ends in irreconcilable differences? Forcing a new OC on him might be the crowning humility.
Remember Jimmy's famous words, "Jerry and I have decided that I will no longer be the coach of the Dallas Cowboys." This after a dust-up over a toast post Super Bowl glory. I grit my teeth over it to this very day.
Jerry, as we've discussed, it still really peeved, and he's on a Lance Armstrong-bullying spree throughout Valley Ranch. Puckered-up sphincters out there, no doubt.
And rumors swell about some fairly public in-house bickering between the two has been seen. Public to the folks that work at Valley Ranch and some of the semi-reporters that are given more access than the standard media. Leaks abound.
Here's a link to the same effect as what I've heard from local reporters: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/16/uncertainty-still-looms-over-jason-garrett-in-dallas/
I realize this is a twist to my "You're Jason Garrett" thread, but I'd like to get everybody's thoughts on this specific notion. And it is admittedly only semi-substantiated hearsay at this point.
So is Jerry trying to run Garrett off in Jimmy Johnson fashion
