Losing 5 pounds entering this season doesn’t appear to have helped him any. He was already under sized at DE. Taking on those double teams has taken their toll on him.

Doing so as often as he does certainly seems to have.

Emmitt Smith said he wanted to be the NFL's All Time Leading Rusher. I believe he said it in his rookie year. And, he did it!!

Early in the season he looked like the favorite for defensive player of the year. His play has really dropped off the second half of the season. He hasn’t done much the last few games. He’s had some nicks, has been sick a couple of times and opponents seem to have figured him out. It does appear he’s been reading a few too many of his press clippings. He needs to get refocused and wipe off some of that anointing oil that’s been poured all over him if he’s going to get back to being the disruptive force he has been.

Well current clippings can't be as flattering as early in the year. If anything, maybe it'll piss him off and provide extra motivation. Not that he hasn't been good, but early he was flat out dominant.

I’m sure he’s been hearing some of the negative whispers. Had his first half of the season been like his second half of the season I don’t think he would’ve made the Pro Bowl. He’s only had one sack in his last three games. He’s whiffed on a few and has missed some other plays.

I think he is beat up and worn down. If they are gonna keep him as an every down edge player he’s gonna have to hit the weight room and put on some muscle. I do hope that he learns to quit chirping so much and let his play speak for itself. I’ve said it before that one of the coolest things to see was Barry Sanders ripping off a crazy TD run and afterwards just handing the ball to the ref. Shut up, stay humble and just play ball Micah!

Maybe a little? but have to remember, he's only 23 years old. Lots of growing up to do still.

Quinn needs to use him like a rookie as more of a linebacker and run a base 4-3 front to stop the run. None of these tweeners at DT and stunting to stop the run.

For the first time in his very short career, he’s facing a small test of adversity because unlike last season, the expectations are way higher. Could be a good thing in his maturation process

we’ve all been tested in life so let’s see how the kid handles it.
