Is Micah still going to give us a discount?

No. And why should he? If Micah takes less does anyone who halfway follows this team really believe stephen will use that savings to pay a free agent in order to make this team better? The answer is no he won't. Micah contract will still be structured in a way to take all the available cap space away so they can say they are broke.

I seriously doubt Micah will be inclined to give the Cowboys a "discount" when his time arrives. His agent is known to be licking his lips, in anticipation of a record-breaking deal to be struck.

In the meantime, Jerry and his less-than-resourceful son insist on wasting as much time as possible, while recruiting former first-round busts to enjoy the luxurious areas of their Jerry World facilities. Of course, they'll also be treated with very meager contractual compensation.

In other news, Micah Parsons appears destined to be gifted with a contract that would make many of their players envious to the extreme. They will fume with jealousy over what might have been, if only they were able to pry such rewards from the execs of the Jones' front office.

Yeah, he already knows this team isn't going to win anything anytime soon, so I doubt he takes a discount.

He never was. Micah is a known liar. It was funny seeing fans believe him though and say "see Dak that's a real leader" lol

Still? When was Micah going to give us a discount?
You mean like when Dak said it wasn't about the money? And when Myles Garrett said it wasn't about the money? Guess what...
I wouldn't lump Myles Garrett with Dak. Myles would leave Cleveland this SECOND if he could. Since they would not deal him, he was somewhat vindictive and said if you are going to keep me, you gotta bust the bank. Which they did. He knows he will never win in Cleveland regardless of his salary, so he might as well make management pay.

Chase making 40+million, do we realistically think he'll take 30+ million, he'd be a fool to do so. His agent wouldn't do it, and the NFLPA would come down hard on Micah for messing up the brotherhood!

It's going to be interesting to see how much he'll make, I'm torn 50/50 about us having three players with top deals, but it is what it is, hopefully all of this spending will one day translate into us going to a NFC championship game or even a SUPERBOWL!!

Please give your thoughts
Nope.

His agent wants max $$$$

Micah is not a Mahomes, Allen or a Brady; ones that see the big picture and realize they are not the most important players and are reliant on their teammates, who are all integral to their professional success, and place that above personal success.
So…no…I expect Micah to seek the maximum contract possible.

coog that was for one week only, and jones boys did nothing so it expired !!

Also if lets say he took a 5 mil discount, that is only 1 soso player or 3 lowball jags, which
isnt going to help.
And he could take a discount, and the jones boys dont use that money, or not in the way
he wanted it to be used.
Parsons wanted them to get myles garrett or max crosby, someone like that so it could lower
what jones boys had to pay a guy like that.
But all those guys resigned with their own teams. There were no real good players left.

If I was a star player I might take a discount if we were possible contenders for a SB,
and I got to spend that $ I gave up on whoever I wanted to sign.
That is the only way I would give a discount.

EXACTLY!!!!!!! That's why I don't understand when fans say "get him signed early" and since we didn't we could have saved some money. We're only saving a few million, it's not like we're saving 10 million a year by signing a guy early!! I agree with you
