Missed most of the Eagles practice yesterday. Rumors are he tweaked something working out.

http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2015/08/demarco_murray_sits_out_majority_of_eagles_first_t.html

And yes this is Cowboys related since many here expect him to produce as well as 2014. He never will again. The team knew what they were doing by not offering more than they did to keep him.

Do I wish him well? Nope, not in football as long as he wears an Eagles jersey. He chose to lay with dogs he can enjoy the fleas.

The Eagles are pretty good at run blocking. There is a reason LeSean McCoy played so well there even though he can't break tackles for ****.

I suspect (baring injury) that Murray will be in the race for a rushing title.

Running backs are held out of practice if they have a hangnail. I doubt this is anything.

But Murray does have an injury history, which is another reason not to pay him $8 million per year.

Not a chance with Matthews and Sproles there. They'll be mixing carries.

I'm not surprised and I won't be when he misses games during the regular season.

He's gotten paid and now doesn't have to kill himself to be on the field. He's secure, and he's content, a bad mix for the demands of the running back position.

Since the day he signed there, I've had deja vu thinking back to Rickey Watters signing there years ago. Just waiting for Murray to say "For who? For what?"

I don't see that his past injury have been legit not faked. He has a broken ankle in 2011 season that is not something you can fake after x ray confirm it.
Yes he got his money and so did Dez I don't expect either guy to lay down. Murray has never given an indication of being a player who will coast

I'm not claiming he's faked injury, only that he has he a history of games missed. And games missed for injuries other than breaks. I know there is a specific reference to a game a year or so ago where it looked like he was ready and he elected not to play. Breaks are one thing, but soft tissue injuries are effectively the players' word vs the trainers'.

his injury have been legit MRI also confirmed a sprained foot that caused him to miss some game as well as a sprained MCL. He has not had hamstring issue or anything of that nature. The notion that he got a contract and now will take it easy? please so I guess now Dez can take it easy as well? Come on

Uh oh. Like Prime says, he's gonna start making "business decisions" now that he got paid.

Here's Murray's injury history. Please note the mention of the word hamstring.

http://sportsinjurypredictor.com/injury-predictor/player/24858

2014NFLHand
Murray fractured the fourth metacarpal in his hand and needed surgery to repair it. He did not miss any games

2013NFLKnee
Murray sprained his MCL in week 6 and missed the following 2 games

2012NFLLeg
Murray suffered a hamstring pull in training and missed OTAs

2012NFLFoot
Sprained foot against Baltimore and missed the next 6 games

2011NFLAnkle
DeMarco Murray fractured his right ankle and was placed on IR missing the remaining 3 games.

2011NFLLeg
Missed first 2 preseason games with hamstring issues

2008CollegeLeg
Pulled a hamstring and missed a game

2007CollegeKnee
Dislocated his patella and missed the following 3 games

Relax, you're getting worked up about something when there's no need. I'm not accusing him of faking injury. I'm just pointing out his history of games missed and openly wondering if he will be the Iron Man of last season after getting paid.

You are giving me OTA and pre season games? lol

Sorry but calling him out and claiming now that he got paid he is somehow going to coast?

They're there! For a guy claiming he didn't have any, that shows that he did. And he missed time with them.

Again, you're reading what's not there. That's on you. I've tried to state my position several times.

In summation, I think his drive will decrease, he will miss time, and in two years, the city of Philadelphia will have turned on him.

We'll see how things go.

OTA teams will hold a guy out even with minor tweeks, he has not missed time during the season over hamstring issues.
I don't think Murray given any less effort than he did here. Could he deal with an injury as some point? of course it is football. As for Philly fans I don't put anything past them. What is funny is when out fans start talking like philly fans.

I just see storm clouds on the horizon. From his first press conference, things just didn't seem to go well. Maybe it's me reading too much into things, maybe not. And it's not a matter of me now rooting against the guy, I'm not. I just think it's a 'bad marriage' that will yield bad results.

People making claims because Murray is no longer in Dallas. Acting as if what he did in Dallas was somehow meaningless or that he some how lacks will to play this game or his season was only due to being a contract year. Murray always ran tough for the Cowboys, his injury were legit and was cause for concern but the guy gave great effort and was respected within the club house and I hate seeing the guy like him getting slammed

Nobody's saying what he did was meaningless. And I am in no way trying to minimize his contributions in 2014. There's no way the team goes 12-4 without him doing what he did.

But his history is his history and 2014 was his first season with no games missed. And that being his contract year gives people reason to wonder if his determination was noble, team-related, greater good effort or personal benefit?

and yet had a Pro Bowl season in 2013. Yes missed 2 game but for the position he plays missing games is fairly common.

Were good at run blocking they lost 40% of their line from last year. This year is a wait and see for them. They lost one of the best guards in the business. So right now they are relying on guys that were back ups last year.

Pro Bowls are nice but mean very little. Not to mention he changed his running style in 2014 from 2013. In 2013 he was pulling up and going out of bounds to avoid contact last year he seeked out contact. I am sorry the more I look at it, I see 2014 as contract year outlier. If he broke his hand in 2013 he would have sat 2 games.

That is your view, I don't agree with it at all. I think Murray gave his all and had the respect of the top players on this team. They knew what he was giving to this team.

Was he a real Pro Bowler or a #6 alternate who got there because the guy who earned it couldn't or wouldn't go? I honestly don't know.

And, as always, thanks for some good conversation.
