Is Murray hurt already?

Was he a real Pro Bowler or a #6 alternate who got there because the guy who earned it couldn't or wouldn't go? I honestly don't know.

And, as always, thanks for some good conversation.

I know he filled in I also know he played very good in 2013, Dallas chose not to run the ball as much as many wanted but Murray produced when they handed him the ball and despite having few carries 217 and was over 1,000 yards and 9 TD. Guys like Chris Johnson had more carries and yet fewer yards and Murray 80.1 yards per game was better than guys like Lynch. I know Murray earned the respect of fellow players but seem not to have earned a lot of respect from fans.

Very true. He was good in 2013 as well and I was somebody screaming for him to get more chances!

Body of work factors in too. Johnson and Lynch have been maintaining a high standard of production for several years. If Murray manages to maintain his, I think he'll be thought of in the same way.

Much like Romo's lack of respect. If he wins a Super Bowl, he'll 'suddenly' be elite.

so player who get big contract, Dez included?

Maybe, it's yet to be seen. But Dez wants to be the best. I didn't get that feeling with Murray.

Think of it like this. You chase after the hottest woman you know. You do everything you can to land her. Flowers, compliments, expensive dinners, everthing.

Then you marry her.

Don't have to try so hard anymore, right?

I think Murray also want to be the best and do what is asked of him to help his team win games. I think Murray has always given his all and will continue to do that in Philly. What the outcome for him may be? I don't know and really do not care however I will never put down a guy who has played hard for his team as Murray did for Dallas.

My bet is the Murphy has a down year in 2015 and a poor run in PHI, overall. But that's got nothing to do with his mindset after receiving a new contract. He was probably among the best bets on our roster this offseason to not pack it in emotionally after a contract. The dude's an MMA trained fighter and a legitimate beast when it comes to his discipline and commitment. It's just the toll on his body that I'd be worried about if I were a PHI fan (pfft).

That, and I still suspect that he didn't really want to sign that deal with the Eagles the first place.

Add the fact that Philly jettisoned it's two quality starting guards and I would agree with that.

I like Murray as a person, but am hoping his time entertaining Phillystines ends in miserable failure.

I heard it was a coach's decision to hold him out for that practice. So, it doesn't sound like he was hurt or anything.

If Murray were to go down for real, I don't see Philly missing a beat if Matthews and Sproles are healthy.
Some would argue that healthy Matthews might be the better back anyway.

But you know Murray has the 2nd game of the season circled in a big way.
As long as Dallas wins, I (mostly) don't really care how he does

They signed him to just to break up our band. It's that simple.

Murray went for nfl money. I don't blame him.

Myself personally I would have found a way to stay In Dallas.

Good post. Not sure why people feel the need to wish the worst on the guy.

I hesitate to comment on Murray missing a practice when our own QB missed a practice due to a stye.

Read on twitter, Murray had some sort of respiratory issue. Doesn't sound major.
