Is our December schedule really that hard?

Three division games to close out the final five weeks is brutal no matter who the other two teams are. Add in our annual struggles, I would be surprised if we lose less than three of those games.

Three of the last five are on the road...never easy on the road. The only weak team in the group is Washington, and they always play us tough.

The one leader this year that makes me a little more comfortable about Dec is Keith Brooking. He seems to be focused and helping others do the same...

Philly game is a home game.

Kenny Phillips, who is the main loss the Giants are dealing with (see CC Brown) is gone for the season.

Please, the Giants are reeling because of the multiple injuries. Phillips may be the one they miss most, but getting everybody else back helps them a lot... and we all know Philly is a home game, does that mean it's gonna be easy?

No sensitiveboy. I'll clarify for you. December too far off with what lies ahead of us starting this week. I'm not bashing you for looking ahead, just stating my opinion about December and how WE usually are, regardless of how competition is doing. Teams that look good now could be bad then, vice-versa, blah, blah, blah. Are you that emotional that you can't help yourself from your reactions???

Not sensitive. I save my emotional outbursts for people I just don't like.

I agree and I think 3-2 is probable also. That would be great if we go into it 8-3 but I don't think 11-5 is going to get us a bye week. That will get us the NFC East IMO. At this point I think we are going to have to come away with at least a 12-4 to get a bye week.

I would love to be able to knock Philly out of a playoff spot on the last game of the year to return the favor!
Don't really want that bye week. In the last 3 playoffs teams with the bye are 5-7. I would rather win the division play that first playoff game at home against let's say the Falcons again, Bears or Packers. Get that 1st playoff win and then head to Minny or NO.

I think I misinterpreted what you wrote ("all NFC East games, on the road no less"). My apologies. For the record, no I don't think it will be easy. I don't think I ever implied that it would be.

The schedule is hard because our history makes it hard. Maybe will be different, maybe not. Maybe I'll get some super duper advice on this....

Oh please, get over yourself. Maybe its sunnyboy, Sun always shines and that's fine. Romo is best QB in football, Cowboys will win Superbowl last year. Your clients must love you though!!

Don't worry, things will get better for you, you just have to believe.

Yes it is really that tough. YOu can throw all the records and stuff out the window in all the NFC East games during that span cause those are always going to be very tough and very physical. That is still a brutal stretch to end the year.

Thanks for that sage advice. I offer you peace in the form of a PM coming shortly...

It's still early, but the byes look like they are going to NO and Minnesota, assuming Farve's play holds up.

I still can't see us do much better then 3-2 or 2-3 so if we drop 2 in a row now we could be in serious trouble

I still think it looks brutal. I will be ecstatic with 3-2 in that month.

Would you take a split in the next two?

I kept hoping for 8-3 going into Dec, but didnt expect us to lose to Denver, had us losing this week.

I would say that is a pretty tough stretch of football no matter what month it is played in. 4 out of 5 are playoff caliber teams. I look forward to it

Of course it is. Dallas has to play itself in December and has kicked its own *** multiple times over the last multiple years. You could line up the 4-5 crappiest teams in the league and Dallas would still have a tough December.

I don't know about that Dallas was 2-2 in 07 and last game of that year Dallas had already clinched the division heading into week 17

Last season no excuses but it was a tough schedule to end the season with Pitt, NYG, Balt and Philly going 1-3.

This season anyone guess of how things may end up but at this time I would say we have some tough teams ahead of us in Dec.
