Is Pacman going to be reinstated or what?

Isn't the first cut on August 23 with the final cut coming on August 26. I would expect the word to come from the Commish before the last cut; though ESPN Clayton reported maybe 2 weeks ago that Commish would reinstate Pacman before that date to allow Cowboys to make realistic roster decisions.

Basically Jones is still considered as being suspended. Doesn't that mean he does not count toward the official roster? So Dallas can keep 54 guys with 53 on the official roster and Jones as the extra guy. Once Jones is re-instated then they will have to cut one last guy to make room for Jones. That could happen today, two weeks from now or halfway through the season.

Didn't Dallas do that a couple of years ago when Marcus Coleman was suspended for the start of the season? He didn't count towards the 53 man roster until he completed his suspension.

Come on people, the NFL is essentially a gigantic attention *****. Anything that brings them more attention is good for their bottom line.

It's very obvious they do not want Adam Jones style of "attention". He was suspended for a year, remember?

Why does it surprise people that Goodell would wait until the last minute on this. Let's see, Jones was very badly behaved. He's on his best behavior while suspended. Goodell will wait until we have to make roster decisions. It is all very simple, the longer Adam is on his best behavior, the more likely he will be to continue to behave that way.

If he stays out of trouble, yes...but not for another week or two.
