Is Parsons the best player in the NFL?

Once he smashes the rookie sack record, he will have to be the front runner for DPOY (if he isn't already).

If we manage to win out and Parsons/the defense are a huge reason, I think he has to be in consideration for league MVP.

On defense his impact has been right up there with Donald and TJ Watt, probably greater, but it's hard to say a 1st year player is just flat out better than players that have done it for multiple years. We've only got small sample of games to go off. And when you are talking best player overall, you've got to consider the position value of quarterbacks. It's hard to beat a guy like Mahomes.

Serious question. I don't watch other teams so I know I'm not qualified to say. Is there anyone playing better than Parsons in the NFL right now?
Defensively, prob not. He’s in the running for Def player of the year.

The only NFL rookie to ever win defensive player of the year is Lawrence Taylor.

That’s definitely Elite category.

Jethro and Son must be having a circle jerk over selecting Parsons.

Pure luck if Surtain and Horn hadn’t been selected in front of us.

We always said our dysfunctional ownership would need to get lucky.

They could have taken the offensive lineman too.

So many here were preaching about not drafting an off ball LB, but here we are.

Luck favors the prepared. Drafting is something we do very well. Not sure I can criticize a hypothetical as poor management.

We haven’t done well overall on defense this era. Last couple years, yes.

The only downside to Parsons having such a great rookie season is expectations are going to be sky high for him next year. It’s going to be hard for him to top this season. Opponents will have a better idea of how to game plan for him next season.

This guy has been moved around and excelled every spot they put him in.

I honest to god think he could play TE and be all pro too lol.

Hell... I would try him at QB too.

I just want to know how long his body is going to hold out. Because he is just pure adrenalin.
The guy has no off switch lol.

All I know is... Korea has been cloning dogs.
If I were Jerry, I would see how far they are from human cloning.

He is the NFL equivalent of Prime LeBron James.
