And how are Parcells's choices in the drafts coming along? What happened to the guy from USC?

The guy from USC is this year's Entire Commanders Free Agent Class of 2000, especially Mark Carrier.

What about Price to GB for a high draft pick!
First of all, no, Green Bay is doing fine at Reciever, they had a spare. Second, trades for one year players NEVER happen!

Edit: oh were you kidding?

Price was signed for insurance, true. But befopre the season is over he will contribute more than enough. I heard that Bledsoe was salking him up at his post game interview, so that tells me that Price will start to get pt.

Price needs to be moved bto back up Glenn, because he is a #2 WR not a #1, Glenn is a #2.
Key is the #1 WR and Crayton is a #1 type WR, he has all the skills of a possession WR, he runs excellent routes but he is not explosive.

Price is a very very explosive WR and we will not be able to keep him off the filed much longer, it would be complete idiocy if they do not use his explosiveness.

Price is more explosive than Glenn. I am not not knocking our WRs, I like them a lot, we have a very very good receiving corp.

Once Price starts to get some regular pt, and he will, Barber needs to get himself going, he is a better receiver than Jones and Tyson and Thomas, he can be used out of the backfield like Westbrook is used, and Barber (Giants).
Jones can too he just has to keep getting better on his pass catching.

We have some weapons here and I cannot wait till all of them are hitting on all cylinders. Especially the defense. I cannot wait till we can see Pepper and Ratliff in the rotation, which probably will not be till next season. I certainly do not want to see anyone hurt so that they can be activated, and I really do not want to trade glover or Ellis so they can get on the field, but that seems like that would be the only way Ratliff and Pepper could play this season.

If a trade could or would happen I would couple Ellis and Glover for someone's 1st rounder, and maybe throw Henson at Baltimore or the Jets, they have QB problems right now, that way Henson can start to play in live games and we can get a 2nd or at least our 3rd round pick back.

I want all the youngsters to play and start to get the experience so we can keep up the momentum.

I'm not trying to be a GM, unlike you and many others here. I just posted what I would like to see happen.
I like that fact that we have some very good youngsters, and I want to see them play ball.
Couch potato, me? Hos, I'm not fat, far from it, maybe a fat head, but I'm very much in shape. A gut is not size, it is fat, plus I do not drink.

Couch potato to me is a fat guy, or any guy with a gut who sits at games at home or in the stadium and drinks.

I keep my body in shape, it is the athlete in me.

That is the first time you scored a hit with me LOL. I associate couch potatoes as fat people, that go to games and drink or sit around watching games with alcohol, and talking about what the little that they know and mostly about what they think they know.

You scored a hit good shot.
You know what? You constantly tell people how amazing you are. Post a pic as proof. I could care less how ripped you are, etc. I read what people think here. I read some people for different reasons. I'll stop there.

I actually should have called it an armchair GM. I didn't quote you, or anyone else, so it is interesting that you felt a sense of guilt that I meant you.

Couch potato or armchair, it is still someone with limited knowledge "thinking big" from the comfort of their living room (or den or weherever) with trades that will never even be considered. It isn't Madden football. It's so transparent that it's funny.

Okay, but you posted right after my post, now you want to play like I fell off the watermelon truck yesterday.

Not an armchair either, that is like a guy in a wheel chair.

I'm not denying I was laughing at you. Just pointing out that there was no direct quote so even you realize you posted some ridiculous stuff.

It isn't the first time Airman Daly.

No sweat.

It works both ways. I find a thread with a half dozen trade ideas in an era when few trades happen to be rather amusing. Hence the reference.

Ridiculous? How so? What is so ridiculous about wanting to see the young guys get on the field?

Do you ever post anything that you think of or have on your mind or want to see. I know you try to live up to your username, but dawg, that is about played out, don't you think?

Hos, you are right about trades now days, but you cannot say that it could not happen. I know that the odds for a trade like that would not happen. It was just an idea, a wishful post, because I want the youngsters to play.
Just an idea that I posted

It only came to mind because Ratliff and Pepper has not been active. Wouldn't you like to see them play?

Henson is a youngster too. Or does he not qualify?

LoL, I knew that was the reason for your post. Yeah he is a Youngster, he's
younger than my 40yrs, but that boy ain't right.

If he is ready then I want to see him on the field too. I just believe that Parcells tried to talk Jerry out of that deal, and when he saw that he could not he just went along to keep from having friction between them. So he is making the best out of the deal.

I've said this before, Jerry and Stephan had inquired about the rights to Henson before they wnet out and got Hutch. It was reported on FoX Southwest, I may be getting old but my memory is still pretty good, but the Texans wanted a higher pick and the Jones's would not go for it. Then the next thing you know we signed Hutch.

I believe that Parcells is seeing the same experiment again.
A part of me is pulling for Henson, to do something so that we can wait for at least 7 or 8 more years before we have to think about another grooming another starting QB.

I'm being honest, I want to see him succeed, but a bigger part is saying we have seen this with Hutch already.
I know you can understand that.

Interesting that we signed Hutch in 2002, the Texans drafted Henson in 2003, we traded for Henson in 2004.

So just how did we turn down a deal with the Texans and sign Hutchinson, when Henson was a Yankee and had not been drafted yet?

Airman Daly strikes again.:lmao2:

I understand the impatience and reticence with Henson. I am a fan of his, but even I have some doubts. Not many. I am pretty confident in how I judge QBs. I'm not wrong very often. I don't think most have any true idea of how highly this team thinks of him. I do have an idea, but I admit it is because people a lot closer to the situation than me have shared with me.

I don't see us trading Glover or Ellis either. I don't see us trading Price. I know you haven't brought that up, but a bunch have.

I don't mind talking about trades, but 90% of the ones have no shot of ever happening. It's like all the Coakley for ____________ trades. Green Bay lost a WR so naturally we need to ship them one of ours. I'm sorry but I don't buy stuff liek that. I was born at night but it wasn't last night.

I usually will discuss trade possibilites when there is a media report, not an idea hatched in someone's head. For instance, the Darren Howard trade. I didn't discuss it until there were actual reports of talks. I never went overboard on those talks. For instance how many people read the articles and still were upset that New Orleans wanted Dat? The articles were clear, Dat was not avialable. Did that stop them from screeching? Nope.

I love the idea of stockpiling draft picks, but I prefer we get realistic about it. Hence I panned the idea. If in the off season articles start popping up that we are offering Ellis or Glover then I'll take it seriously. In the meantime it is what it is...an idea hatched in an armchair GMs brain. I hatch them too. We all do.

George was a starter Peerless has barely seen the field its hard to compare the 2 in my opinoin.

Hey Daly, you are right, The Texans drafted Henson in 2003. I keep forgetting Carter got here in 2001. So you are right about the years.
But Jones did ask the Texans for the right to Henson, But the Texans wanted more than a 3rd round pick at that time. But after seeing what Carr was about they dropped their asking price the next time Jones went asking.
I was off on the years, but I remember the reporting of that on Fox Southwest.

So you were right Daly on the year.
