Cowboys fans love building up Romo as some mystical creature that was godly. He's directly responsible for allowing Eli Manning to get the opportunity to win 2 Super Bowls. Both times, Dallas could have and should have knocked them out but Romo lost all 3 games (2007 playoffs, both games in 2011).

Romo would have hoisted Lombardis in 2016, 2018 and now 2022. So this will be the 3rd Championship Prescott has cost us.

Also, Romo NEVER had a defense. Same for Dak, but he's had better supporting casts IMO.

You forgot the short fields they were left with after muffed punt, constant three and outs, etc. hard to play good d when offense won’t move the ball to get some rest.

No arguments from me about Crayton’s 2nd half performance but when our defenses absolutely had to mk a stop, it couldn’t. We lost the game when our defense left the Giants eat all the clock in a long drive at end of first half.

However, the most important reason we lost that game and every important playoff since is when we have a great regular season, we get unwarranted arrogance. That hubris and arrogance is a reflection of our idiot owner and the culture he built. Rather than have a strong, empowered head coach who could remind the players the Cowboys have won zero significant playoff games in 26 years and they must work hard to reach an NFC championship game, we have Jerry doing 20 interviews a week and mentioning Super Bowl in every one of them.

That is why it is a lie to say “Jerry really wants to win”.
