Is Prescott another Romo?

Romo threw the pick late when the game is on the line.

Dak throws 2 picks early, then he drinks coffee at half time and plays well in the 2nd half. Bad thing is sometimes he put us in too far of a hole to climb out of and we lose.

You means todays defense that couldnt stop the 1-11 Texans with their starting WR's out until the final drive. Until this week the texans hadnt scored more than 20 points in the last 7 games.

But no doubt the Romo haters would have blamed Romo as well.
You forgot the short fields they were left with after muffed punt, constant three and outs, etc. hard to play good d when offense won’t move the ball to get some rest.

Call it what you want. I've watched every single Cowboys game for the past 25 years and Romo threw a few costly interceptions in the 4th quarter of games. That's just a fact. I'm not saying he has the most. I'm not saying the least. I'm saying Dak throws his picks earlier in games and Romo when he threw them would be closer to the end.
Wow, you are wrong about everything in every post. Astounding really. Has to be purposeful. Are you Clove or something?

Romo threw more INTs in the first and 2nd quarter. Only in the 3rd did he throw fewer than in the 4th.

Dak on the other hand has not thrown for more ints in any quarter than he has in the 4th.

The opposite of your false reality.

Dak and Romo both had awful defenses preventing them from going further in the playoffs. Dak could've easily gotten us past Green Bay with one more stop on defense.... EASILY. Saying otherwise is just silly.

As for the other games Romo and Dak lost in.... i guess we can imagine all day long what would happen if this went that way, but ultimately Cowboys in the last 26 years has had one main Achilles dragging them down..... it's the defense.
So maybe we should invest in the defense and stop overpaying the offense. We pay 2nd in the league salary for our offense, which means they need to put points on the board without expecting three or four turnovers on short fields to do so. If that’s not possible then start paying the 28th paid defense to get better seconday, line, etc. I’d bet that if we were 12th paid in both you would see better run stopping bc you would have money to go get some of those guys that do it in their primes. It’s called free agency but instead of beefing up the line and secondary (aka replace brown, get rid of drive by) you’ll see a difference. Instead we went the option that we did with romo, overpay for no results and expect a defense with holes to hold up when Dak or Romo don’t put enough points on the board to overcome.

You're comparing Dak's 7 year career to Romo's 14 year career or Romo's first 7 years?
10 years as starter, 14 would include 03-05 which he didn’t play and 16 which would include Daks rookie year. My point is Dak is getting close to that ten year mark and if go with injuries then 9 for Romo and 6 for Dak.

Dak has thrown 14 TDs, 9 INTs, and 230 Yds/game in 8 games this year. I'm not sure why people think he is having a good year or is anything more than an average QB.

Romo would get crucified if he had those stats. These two QBs are not held to the same standard. Btw, there is no debate on who is the better QB. Romo had to play most of his career with a terrible defense and overcome Garrett. Even his best defenses were basically middle of the pack.

Shows flashes of talent but has the uh oh factor and will never get over the hump?
Romo threw INTs at the very worst time and Rayne Dakota is inconsistent…..take your pick
Brilliant one game, mediocre the next.
Been that way for a long time....
Romo threw his picks in the 4th quarter of games. Dak likes to throw his in the 2nd quarter for some reason.
The way Romo gets dragged here in light of Dak’s often abysmal play is legitimately embarrassing. So much revisionist history. Romo carried teams with half the skill position talent Dak has and never had a defense remotely this good. Just embarrassing.

Both flashed at times and have their own different pros and cons. Very different qbs.
Uhhh yes he is no dispute

He had more interceptions then touchdowns in 2015……you must’ve forgot his career.
Not forgetting anything.
The fans of #9 and the fans of #4 will continue to wrangle over who was better - using whatever statistics prop up their chosen quarterback to be greater than the other.

Romo could have a great game and find ways to lose. Dak can have a bad game and find a way to win... so no
That myth still out there. The teams Romo was on would have been losing teams all the time. Did he throw picks at inopportune times outside a few games he was never a turnover machine, the one where all he id was throws INTs was the one he actually was able to come back from. During his tenure the defense was pretty much bereft of talent except a few that did not help. The God that was D-Ware owned by a couple of rookies starting their 1st game. But hey don't let the facts get in the way of perception.

If you ask me which QB i would want , 100% Romo. That doesn't mean Dak is not a good QB, he just needs to step up his game more and play up to his ability. We CAN win with Dak with the Defense we have, but it all needs to come together.
