This is a serious question. I know Blogging the Boys has a big following and there are people that appreciate the work but he out does Mickey by 100 fold when it comes to the Cowboys. Every tweet is so over the top I just can’t think it’s for clicks. I just want to know. Maybe I’m not well versed in his homerism

There are a few of them. Nothing worse than a media guy who follows the team and can't be objective and just wants to be friends with everyone and stay on their good side and thus acts like Jerry's little lackey. Until the media starts calling this team out for what they are when deserved, they are just white noise. I follow some of them for updates and latest news. I have no interest in their opinions

They sacrificed their skepticism, objectivity and critical thinking at the altar of ‘access’ to the subjects of their supposed reportIng.

It’s a prevalent theme in media and journalism in general.

What about this is blind homerism? He’s telling the truth. Even though this season has been frustrating, Dallas has played a lot better with significant injuries than they have in the past. That’s a fact.

He’s the best coach since Bill P. I think we all know that, but we also all know we need and even better coach to overcome Jerry and his Jerry things.

I don’t agree and already out my reasoning in this thread. Feel like he is skipping why we got into the hole to start and the last 4 years and Mikes non adjustments were part of it. And then acting like Dak in 25 will be great????. These are 2 samples of s couple of years I’ve seen his stuff. Nothing is ever wrong. I just think half these guys have no objectivity. I just want to read something that isn’t a quick overreaction….for example. I give MM credit to the team not quitting and piecing together a unit that is working right now. But I’m confused on what this has taken so long and where was the urgency last playoff or the early part of the season. We have games like Tampa where we are challenging teams then games like Cincy where we look lost against one of the worst Ds in the league. Which is it? I’m not just buying into Mike because he got some pros to play hard

The Buccaneers are the only team they beat that was impressive, and stripping the ball away is why they won it.

Dak did not come back strong from his last major injury. In fact, I'm not sure he ever fully recovered. I'm worried that he's going to be very conservative and seeing ghosts this time.
Why make things up, Runny? I hate correcting you brother.

Dak broke his lower leg back in 2020 when he ended up with 1,856 passing yards, 9 TDs, 4 INTs and a 99.6 passer rating through 4.5 games. He was on pace to pass for over 6,500 yards, easily capable of breaking the single season NFL passing record held by Peyton Manning (5,477).

Dak came back way ahead of schedule in 2021 after pushing himself hard through grueling rehab and started the whole season of 2021 where he passed for 4,449 yards, 37 TDs, only 10 INTs and a 104.2 passer rating.

In 2022, Dak broke a bone in his throwing hand, plus he tore a meniscus ligament in his throwing shoulder. He had to miss 5 games due to those injuries and only passed for 2,860 yards, 23 TDs, a poor 15 INTs and a 91.1 passer rating.

Dak rehabed hard for 2023 and hard arguably his best passer rated season while putting up 4,516 yards, a franchise record 36 TDs, only 9 INTs and his career best 105.9 passer rating.

This proves Dak not only once but twice came back super strong 2 separate recent years and put up astronomical numbers after coming back from injuries.

The problem is thinking of tweets as anything more than sound bites. They are usually someone reacting in the moment and saying the first thing that comes in their head. Think of them like the game thread on here. You'd think some of our fans were insane by reading their immediate reactions to what they see on the TV.

He might be a glass is half full kind of guy. But I do not see him as an over the top homer troll.
But to be fair, I only see his work on occasions. I do not follow him on twitter so during the year
his youtube stuff pops up on the youtube query.

Plus, Dak always comes back strong from an injury. Why would 2025 suddenly be different?
Well for starters last time Dak had a season ending injury he was 27 years old, and still lost some of his mobility. His number of rushes dropped by 25% post-injury and his ypa was down 1+ yards. He basically became a semi-statue.

This time he will be 32 when next season starts and...

Father time + injury is not a good sign. If he panics and could barely escape pressure before not seeing how that improves. Get ready for even more "Force the ball somewhere" panic throws next year, because for some reason he is allergic to just throwing the ball away. But you will be there to blame the OL and everything not Dak every time anyway.

I should have been more specific. I was referring to his mobility. It took a long time for him to start running again, whether out of fear or caution. In fact, I don't think he ever fully came back in that regard. I expect that to be more severe this time, and with this O-line, that's not okay.

Clearly you refuse to taper your anger. Make up all the stories you want. Dak is here to stay for another 4 years, and he will be fine. Just watch.

I wouldn't call it a troll he's basically saying that Jason Garrett was far worse than Mike McCarthy they're trying to make you see maybe Mike McCarthy and Mike Zimmer aren't such a bad choice of end up staying here??

I think we will probably be a 10/11 win team. I dont think we are as bad as the early season blowouts, but we arent talented enough to be among the elite

I can see a muted version of 2023, when we blew out outclassed teams but couldnt beat winning teams
I agree, but it really depends on the coaching staff what are they willing to change,

I think we get all our healthy players back this is definitely a 10-11 win team but if we have Mike McCarthy calling plays again the 1st 8 weeks??!!

if we see that more of the same?? where he doesn't start getting creative until it's too late ?? literally when he has no other choice because typically he is like Garrett he's going out there calling plays not to lose games thinking it's going to be man on man talent on talent and the schemes don't matter and then everything falls apart and he's desperate and there's only one way to operate with Cooper rush and a mass unit is to get very creative well why doesn't he do that from day one game one when you have all the talent in the world that can literally just blow people up if you scheme them the way teams do with the Rams and for the most part you see it with San Francisco and the king of doing that is finding ways to get the best out of the roster is Andy Reid they do this stuff all the time are you got the guys over in Detroit now doing it...

They don't wait till it's too late they have reached wrinkles from game one this is what you're supposed to be doing in training camp this is what you're supposed to be working on during practice it's not something you need to wait until the entire season is on the line and then make changes last year they made the changes enough just at the right time with a healthy roster in won 12 games...

this year they waited until Prescott was gone half the offensive line was hurt half the defense was hurt and then MM like oh OK maybe I'll put some wrinkles in my offense and then our Mike Zimmer decides let's be real aggressive and just sit in the house 80% of the time and see what happens.

You can't play to lose that will set you up for failure you literally need to be aggressive not every play but you need to be creative every game against every team have a wrinkle for them and you need to be aggressive and not be settling for field goals when you have a healthy team I understand now you only need to get like 2 first downs and with Aubrey you can kick field goals that's not going to work in the big games...

The Dallas Cowboys beat a team with a winning record with half their team missing. A playoff caliber team. Against a top QB that has turned his career around.

And some of our fans do not like it. Typical hate from the usual crowd. Something they been whining about, not beating a quality team. But yet they do not like it.
And it was done with a back up QB, back up OL, key players still missing on defense. No running game.
I say that shows heart and guts. I mean, did some miss the way the defense were laying the wood.Something else some been complaining about for a very long time. Afraid to hit and afraid to tackle.

I was very proud of the way the teams has fought hard. Gives some encouragement to look forward to. Showing they players and coaches and team will not tank for a few draft positions slots. Something many fans may not understand from all the posts from the past month.

I understand fans, or some fans wanting losses for a better draft spot. But to blame the team and Jerry for not taking on purpose is hilarious.

This is not like 1988 in order to get Troy Aikman as the #1 overall pick. A top quality player can still be had in the mid rounds.
Micah at 11, CeeDee at 17.

I'm with him on this one when Romo or Prescott went down I had no faith we could win a game with Garrett. I don't feel like that anymore with Mccarthy.

He’s just stating some positives that McCarthy brings and also stating how horrible Garrett was as a coach.

Pretty spot on.

I am leaning in favor of the cowboys moving on from Big Mike. But Big Mike is overall a pretty good coach. That’s just the reality.

The question is do the cowboys move on and try to find somebody better.

I don’t think anybody would argue that Garrett was a good coach. Garrett was also NOTORIOUS for not adjusting and his “we do what we do” mantra.
