Is Romo as good as we think he is?

You're putting Culpepper in the same category as Grossman. Grossman is struggling, even though all his backs and receivers are healthy and the rest of the NFC sucks.

They both employ the chuck it and pray strategy for NFL QBs. Neither one can read a defense and both are turnover prone.

Sorry. I don't do Qb comparisons or evaluations along racial lines. Play on the field matters more. Give it a shot sometime.

Race does seem to be a big part of his kartr agenda.

Three things tell me he is a Good QB.

1st thing is Bill Parcells is his coach. One of the hardest for a QB to please, especially if the Vet QB is healthy.

2nd A VET QB healthy on the bench, who was hand picked by BP because of product knowledge. The QB being a BP guy, who had the endorsement from the owner, was benched for him.

3rd His teammates believe in him, especially a QB hater(Garcia & Mcnabb) like TO. And his stats say he can perform at the NFL level. Now if he had those stats because the starter was hurt and he had to hold down the fort until the starter came back( no pressure because nothing high is expected) then the other shoe will eventually fall. But a healty Vet QB on the bench, with a hard nose coach who is tuff on QBs, and those stats....No brainer.

OUTSTANDING POST! OK HERE'S A FEW MORE REASONS:

1) Just this Wednesday Parcells offered this gem " I seriously considered starting Romo game one but felt Bledsoe deserved the benefit of the doubt".
Very very telling statement.

2) 5.5 games is a whole lot of football. Different defenses with different strategies and talent levels.

3) Numbers don't lie. They can be a little misleading but they don't lie. 110 QB Rating is huge and that 9+ YPA is sick. If these numbers are misleading us as much as 10-15% that means he's only playing at a probowl level.
