Do you think Ryan Mallets ready for the NFL? He has a super arm but will that make him ready? OK. i like Ryan Mallet and i have nothing against him but i think maybe he should stay one more year in collage to get better. Even though he's broken quit a few of the collage records he still has a lot to learn. As I've see. He doesn't do good with pressure. He has a good aim but he sometimes throws it to high or to hard. Am i being selfish not wanting him to go Pro or is everything I've said right and then some i left out?

Go here and read this then decide:

Do you think he has what it take to be a Cowboy? I would love for him to play for use.

I think he absolutely is physically.

He just needs to get better footwork.

I think a guy like him or Cam Newton are absolute musts for Buffalo because of how they match against bad weather.

In my opinion, he is that type of guy that will be ruined if he is thrown out there in his rookie season. Kind of like David Carr. If he can sit for a few seasons and work with the right coaches I think he can be groomed into a heck of a QB.

He reminds me of Drew Bledsoe and Carson Palmer. And while both players were bad towards the end of their careers, but were very good early in there career.

Reminds me of Philip Rivers with lack of mobility but much better throwing motion and arm strength.

Nothing like Phillip Rivers imo. On top of Mallet lacking Rivers' mobility and Rivers lacking Mallet's arm strength, Rivers was far more accurate. This was Mallet's only season with greater than 60% accuracy (64.7%). Rivers' senior season he hit on 72% of passes and his junior year, he hit on 62%.

Mallett is actually a lot like Derek Anderson... I just happen to think he'll find more success than Anderson.

Mallet is going to fail miserably if he gets thrown right into playing in the NFL.

he needs to go somewhere with a great qb coach, and give him at least an entire year without seeing the field.

but his arm strength, and now weakened qb class will put him in the wrong position.

I don't think Mallett is half as bad an athlete as some make him out to be. Perhaps it's because he's a little taller than the average QB, so he looks gangly and ackward at times. However, I don't see him as being any less athletic than say a Joe Flacco, nor do I think his footwork is especially bad.

I think he's got an NFL arm for sure and also displays some nice touch. What I'm not sure about is his maturity or how well he'll grasp an NFL offense. I don't think he's a guy that you hand over the reigns(sp?) to in Week 1. IMO, he needs to be sat down behind a veteran and put into occasional game situations as the season goes along; build him up.

So Tim Tebow is that what went wrong with him?

And yes i couldn't agree more with the second thing you said about not seeing the field for a year until he can hang with the big boys.
