Is safety the top priority right now?

"Jones is underrated"

"We made a solid pick with Jones"

"People are actually calling Jones a bust?"

"Posters that say Byron Jones isn't a good DB don't know what they're talking about"

Those individuals are just as clueless as the FO.

Horrible pick and the FO went with measurables instead of just reviewing his production in college.

For once doing what he's supposed to do which is backpedaling and reading the QB, he had responsibility to help on Scandrick's side, if Rodgers looked that way he would've been in position to make a play. Jordy to a b line right to Byron's zone and he was nowhere to be found.
While BJones did get riddled....explain Heath's play. Never around the ball until its too late.

We don't know if Jaylon Smith will ever be healthy enough and once healthy how he will do.
Sean Lee has had trouble most of his career staying healthy and he is not getting young.
Hitchens is coming back from suspension but I often wonder just how good he is compared to other teams players since our LB depth is so bad.

I would like to have a Stud LB...don't care if he takes over Smith's, Lee's or Hitchen's spot...they can move those guys elsewhere if needed.

I would like to see how this CB situation works itself out. We got a lot of young talent there and some of them are really flashing.

Will we need to move Byron Jones to CB instead of S?

Will a combo of Xavier Woods and Jones do it in the future or do we need to move Jones to CB...get another good FS type of Safety for his spot and let woods play SS.

I would love a huge hulk of a player to be a huge run stopping force in the middle at the 1 tech...but it seems that is not what Rod likes.

Safety, defensive tackle, linebacker... take your pick.

The middle of this defense is horrific.

Head coaching and FO are the main problems, but those won't get fixed, so we'll have to play musical chairs with more coordinators and players to cover up for Garrett.

We definitely need a lot on defense but it will start when we get a new DC, IMO.

Linebackers are not good at all (outside of Lee).

Until you fix the front seven the entire back end is going to look like crap regardless of how much talent is in the secondary. The packers crappy o-line gashed this team yesterday in the running game and once that running game got going our defense was on its heels.

Safety and one tech. Both will haunt us as the season goes along as we begin to see the exhaustion from season play take its toll.

At this point, I'm bringing in another big body or two and have Woods at FS and Frazier at SS. We have nothing to lose. Heath is a ST guy and is good at that. Keep him off the field on defense.

Anyone notice Kyle Freakin Wilbur in the lineup early on?? This team needs LB's now! Get one off the street, PS, the local HD I don't care! But we cannot expect to go another 11 games expecting health and better play. I'm sorry......

And Brown is getting burned this year and looks awful. Oscan sucks too!!! I'm not sure Heath has made one play all season outside of ST's.
I noticed Wilbur out there too, and I think it was on GB's first offensive play! I was thinking, ***?

I would say LBer actually-- although S is next on the list. IMO-- we win the last two games or at least one of them if Lee is on the field. We had sizable leads in both contests and simply could not get enough stops on D. Both games we gave up way too many yards on the ground and our coverage at LBer was simply atrocious.

I would get on the phone and trade for a quality LBer during the bye week. Jaylon is a liability right now in both run support and coverage. IR him and see where he's at next year.

I wouldn't trade for anyone because I doubt it will make any difference this season.

If the secondary doesn't improve with more experience then the season is toast anyway.

Would depend on who the player is. If we can get a playmaking safety or LBer, it would be worth it. I am not ready to give up on this season yet. Not by a long shot. We have a 2 year window before we have to commit big money to Dak and Zeke. Now is the time for bold moves and to take a shot.
