Obviously you didn't see Carolina's running game last year... Delhomme put up the ball too many times in the playoffs, they didn't rely enough on the ground game against Arizona. They didn't run the ball enough against Philly either.
I was talking about marketing-wise. I live less than 2 hours from Charlotte. Steve Smith is all you see there as far as advertising, posters and signs. He is the franchise down here, regardless of what Williams and Stewart have done. He is the franchise money maker. If they let him go, the marketing revenue will take a hit.

They need to draft a QB. :lmao2:

Hey people where doing that about Romo so do not laugh to hard. Moor has shown enough talent that he has a possibility of being a good NFL QB he is only in what year 2 of his NFL contract Romo did not get his chance until what year 3.5

If Smith was 3 years younger, go for it.

But he is getting old quick. And when he loses that quickness and explosiveness, 5'9 WR's arent valuable anymore.

I understand that but do you put all your eggs in Moore basket? It is Carolina problem so whatever they choose to do no big deal to me. I know we went through a lot of QB's before Romo emerged. If I was in the GM shoe I would look to the draft next year for a QB not necessarily a 1st rd pick but I would look to bring in talent at the QB spot.

Who are the 1st rd QBs this year? McCoy, LeFevour, and Pike sit atop the position (assuming Bradford comes back for a full season).

McCoy needs to have a stellar passing year to get a 1st rd spot. Then again, there's always goin to be a QB drafted in the 1st rd.

I would much rather just see what Dallas has in the young players they got.

Moore is in year 3 and has seen playing time in 2 out of his 3 seasons. The Panthers must not have been that confident in him to be their #2 back up after 2 full seasons because they went and got Josh McCown this off season. They have now brought in A.J. Feeley. They aren't counting on him to be their first choice as the back up QB, so I don't know how they count on him being their future starter.

Trust me, the Panthers will do EVERYTHING possible to keep him. Without Steve Smith, there are no Panthers.

Or even a reason to go to the game.....

Seymour would have been a horrible move for Dallas. We are still trying to lock up Ware and Seymour's deal expires at the end of the season. Ditto for Peppers. Now, It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see Jerry lock up Ware this season and go hard after Peppers in the off-season. Especially if Spencer doesn't contribute to taking pressure of of Ware. Seymour will get a new deal in Oakland before the year is finished. If not, someone needs to euthanize Al Davis. A 1st round pick for 1 year's worth of service is beyond senile, it's outright insane.

As a side note, the dominating performance that Seymour put on display Monday Night is proof positive that Bill Belicheck's players are some of the smartest and well coached players in the league. To step in without a week's worth of practice to a scheme you've never played, play ALL FOUR positions along the line and to dominate the way he did is nothing short of amazing. That guy is a hell of a player. And, it seems, he's ten times the play maker in a 4-3 scheme.

I wouldn't say "horrible".

And Wade's scheme is a one gap, just like 4-3 schemes play. He would have been a stud in Wade's defense too, and an immediate contributor both stopping the run AND rushing the passer.

Since we're throwing out stupid nicknames, how about "Shakey Jakey" or
"Big Mistake Jake"?

If that was the case you drafted around the 3rd round and lower but then again we did that and Dallas fans cried because it was not there pet cat
