Is the Cowboys on field product uninteresting?

Full disclosure-I have been less interested in watching the Cowboys for 3-4 seasons (lifetime fan coming from a family of lifetime fans). So I have watched fewer games and just done more fulfilling things with my time. I literally watched zero live games this season. Thought I might check out playoff games if they made it. Checked scores on occasion. Not a fan of other teams, but will watch a great matchup from time to time. Did watch a replay of the Denver game to watch the Cowboys offense vs their defense.

Lots of watered down competition this season. No real dominant complete teams that I see. I do not see the draw in what the Cowboys continually put on the field. Tons of over investment (for years) into the offense because that sells more merch and television talk. And thus, the Cowboys offense is the dominant unit-big surprise. Yes, I blame Jerry mostly-but that also passes to players that want to be part of what this franchise produces. The franchise desperately fights to remain around 0.500, but cares next to nothing at accomplishing a championship run. And the players and coaches that stay long term know that before they sign (or they are brain dead).

The absurdity of these next three games are what marketers like Jerry live for. Sell a crap product as a crap product progressing. The team is extremely fortunate not to be 4-9-1. If you enjoy your time spent viewing this amalgamation of unbalanced mediocre football, don’t worry because there is more where that came from. My interest might return when they start over with a new QB-not because a QB automatically transforms a team but because a new QB typically alters much of the roster. Just a new lotto ticket to pay attention to. Cheers guys, hope you enjoyed the time you spent on this team-you are far more interesting than what is happening on game days to me.

By the time week #10 gets here, most fans are feeling the "been there, done that" mindset and are waiting for the inevitable season-over moment that happens between then and week one of the playoffs.

Jerry will now spend the rest of the year talking about how disappointed he is as he counts the many stacks of new money another year brought him while hyping how great next season will be as he drops more annual one-liners like, "We're all in!", "All options on the table", "We'll fix this", etc. that carry no meaning but still somehow makes fans think that Lucy won't pull the football away this time.

For the fans, we get to enjoy our holidays now knowing the season is over so maybe we can enjoy watching some great games by much better NFL teams and the post-round-one games of the CFP.

My been there done that came before the season started this year. Lol. They play seasonally-entertainment is debatable.
 
Boys are designed to beat teams who are under .500, so I predict 2-1 for the remainder of the year.

In some ways, .500 is almost worse than a rock bottom season. With rock bottom seasons, you usually already have a few high drafted rookies and prospects you are watching grow and know your team has a shot in next year's draft at a potential HOFer. As bad as those Campo 5-11 years were, I think I enjoyed watching the latest crazy QB project (Quincy, Hutchinson, Henson, etc) from Jethro more than Dak who seems to be that steady veteran who will always get us to the edge, but never further. Cowboys were 1-15 but I still saw the potential of Aikman, Irvin, and a confident swag coach in Jimmy Johnson.
 
The Cowboys are interesting in much the same way that a 20 car pile up on a major interstate is interesting

It's ugly. It's painful. You feel guilt and self loathing for stopping and staring.

But you still can't help but watch.

Yes, but not because of their record.
They have become a joke overall because of too much hype and too many times the fans have been humiliated.

I'm starting to get this way, mostly because I can see, especially in hindsight, that Jerral didn't have a plan.
 
They’re eliminated from the postseason, but there’s still three games left to the season.
Yeah. I’m disinterested.
The Cowboys suck.

About the same for me.
I don't have cable and I just haven't cared enough this year to find a reliable stream.
I watch the highlite recaps, and see some of the video analysis on youtube. The emotional investment in the games just isn't there anymore.
And this season was even more interesting than most, with some serious trade moves, and ones that did work out.
 
At this point the Stars are clearly the better product coming out of Dallas.
 
And if anyone wonders what true winners are thinking about-see what KC did in Tennessee today. They are not interested in meaningless games this season…They understand each season stands alone.
 
Entertaining? For real fans it's just sad. This is Campo level suck we are entering.
