Is the 'firing' of Belichick bigger, worse, and more disrespectful than the Landry firing?

Fired? Mutual parting? I assume he was fired, or at minimum told to be gone. Belichick has more wins (I think) and more super bowl trophies than Landry.
Try to put aside your Cowboy fan bias for a second and answer.

I think it is for one main reason. Team loyalty was a lot stronger back then than it is today. Players are moving around in free agency and coaches are getting fired and hired so much these days. Belichick likely will continue coaching with another team. Maybe even Washington. I don't think Landry had any intention to ever coach anywhere after getting fired.

The firing of Belichick doesn't seem to be big news.

pretty he mentioned he didnt want to be like Marv Levy coaching in his 70s.
Believe it was a mutual parting as far i can read.

Seems like hes still a good coach but his management has put them in a hole recently.

It’s the off-season of legendary coaches moving on so people are just sorta accepting it. That and the Belichick rumors have been around for months. I don’t think Kraft particularly liked how Bill handled Mac Jones or his development.

BB is awesome. Few coaches can design and run a defense and have all gaps playing multiple techniques on the fly from down to down and have his players execute at an elite level.

DQ picked up a bit of that in how our fronts are multiple but BB was the founder and master of the approach. It was what he did.

Few things are less respectful than young new guy coming in and tossing out venerated old guy without so much as a meeting. That is what Jerry did with Landry. BB is getting pomp.

Let's be 100% honest, he had the goat at QB otherwise he never sniffs a ring. Look at what he did both before he had Brady and after, nothing.
And if Bledsoe was not injured, they never would have knew what Brady could do.

Firing Landry was not disrespect. It was needed but nobody had the balls to do it besides JJ. Fans got upset about it because Landry was the heart of the Cowboys. Thankfully JJ fired Landry and hired Jimmy. Firing BB is also not disrespect. Bills time has expired.

Belichik's departure was expected. He wasn't blindsided.
Landry was blindsided.
Landry was not Blindsided. He was a big boy, he knew exactly how it would all work out. The new CEO or President always gets rid of the old staff and brings in his own. Ridiculous!

Yeah, but only because of the times being different. Legendary coaches were basically "tenured" back then. Which is a mistake in itself.

Based on results, Landry or any other coach should have thought of themselves as being vulnerable if not for the above.

Everything runs its course. Neither Landry or Belichick were disrespected. Actually, both were granted the benefit of the doubt in regard to declining results. Fresh ideas and energy are needed at times. Go Cowboys!

From what I can recall, everyone wanted Landry gone at the time as the game had passed him by. At least that was the discussions I remember.

Until he got let go then there was an uproar, mainly stirred by the local media as Jones was an outsider and didn’t handle his letting go that gracefully.

There isn’t anything disrespectful about firing a head coach whose team is struggling. The NFL is a tough business and coaches get fired all the time. Just because Belichick has been coaching the same team for 24 years and has built a Hall of Fame resume shouldn’t give him a pass if his team isn’t winning. It hasn’t officially been reported that he’s been fired. Some reports say it was a mutual parting of ways.
