Is the Secondary about where you expected it to be this season?

Super disappointed in Wilson. His play seems to have fallen off a cliff

CB's - yes. Diggs, Bland, Lewis, Carson make a pretty good group.

S's - no. Wilson is doing ok. Still don't understand why Thomas isn't getting more playing time. Hooker looks like he is on his last legs. Where has Bell been? Mukuamu is MIA most of the time.

This, where is Bell, my gosh they raved about him last year, now can’t get on the field.

- Bland is not here yet so that would be unfair to an extent.
He simply forces INT picks and returns them for six points like no one else in NFL.
But it remains to be seen how much the more conservative Zimmer effect will have on him upon his return .

- I frankly think Zimmer and Al Harris have philosophical differences.. but it's Zimmer's defense.
i think zimm's more zone oriented scheme is more conservative cautious than what Quinn's scheme and philiosophy was.

- We won't see Wilson as much at line and being utilized as blitzer and around the line as a rover as much as we saw him under Quinn.
Donovan is a much more effective player the closer he is around the line, The more he has to play deep coverage, the less effect and
vulnerable he is.

- Hooker is what he is. Smart vet experienced center field secondary signal caller who plays a smart -safe game but limited range and play maker.
He doesn't make enuf big plays for my liking as I'd prefer a more explosive difference maker.

- Diggs is being critized for his timid play, but may be still recovering per post ACL. It may take a full year to play out the timid mode.

- In short, we won't see players under Zimm, in position to jump at INTs as we did with Quinn.

The issues are as follows. It’s a domino effect.

1 - the secondary has looked bad because they have to tackle more. Only J-Lew is a good tackler.

2 - they have to tackle more because teams are running the ball mercilessly

3 - teams are running the ball more because the cowboys offense can’t get a comfortable lead.

4 - since the offense can’t get a lead, a DLine full of undisciplined, selfish and light in the azz players that only want to pass rush get bullied. Leading us to point 1 and Zim/Harris looking incompetent even though they aren’t.
