Is there ANY player that is worthy of the COWBOYS moving up for in the first two rounds?

I keep hearing people say we should move up for this player or that player, and I have a hard time believing that it makes much sense to trade up for a player in the first two rounds.

I could maybe see giving up a 4th round pick or later to move up a few spots. But I would have a hard time giving up any of our picks in the top 3 rounds for a player. I just don’t think it’s worth giving up another player.

I guess moving up is an option if you have moved down already and want to move back up, but I’m hard pressed to see many players worth giving up a 2nd or 3rd to move up for that player.

The biggest issue with trading up is that it eliminates the possibility that the target players falls to them without trading up.

Having said that, the Cowboy draft best when a player that they're sold on is the player they draft.
- Tyron and Zack Martin were the preferred picks by everyone in the organization.
- Taco was definitely NOT on a consensus pick within the organization.

It's hard to define "sold on" because they appeared to be sold on Dak despite having him rated as a 4th round pick. They met with him more than any other player pre-draft since Jerry has owned the team.

Id trade my second and 3rd round comp pick to move up and take Moehrig or Collins
Moehrig yes... Collins no (IMO).

I just don’t see how a tall, 260 pound LB would ever, ever be a fit in Quinn’s scheme. His speed and particularly his change of direction simply wouldn’t be good enough.

Now in a scheme like New England’s or Miami’s? Sure, he might fit. But not Quinn’s, I think.

To the question in the OP... yeah, if I went through I could find guys that I would trade up for.

Pitts would be one, for sure. He might be the only one that I’d move up from 10 for though.

If the right players slid in round one, I’d probably jump at the chance to move back into the late first round to get one of them. JOK getting anywhere close to the end of round 1 would have me scrambling to move up. Moehrig might be a guy I’d do it for. Same with Jalen Phillips... that guy is going to hit a lot of QB’s in his time playing football.

Any of those 3 sliding and I’m trying to get them to Dallas.
