Is there anyone in the NFC clearly better than us?

Record wise, Tampa Bay is the best but they have hardly looked like world beaters in any of those wins. Philly is still very good, but we proved we can not only beat them, but destroy them. Atlanta, Carolina, and Seattle all look very inconsistant. Is there any reason to think we cant win more games than anyone in this conference?

Not clearly.

If we keep letting teams stay in the game. The big play will bite sometime.

You could make an argument for Seattle and Philadelphia. I said you could make an argument, but the answer is calling Dallas the best team in the NFC isn't really a stretch anymore.

Edit: Add Carolina to that list, I think they are a very good team.

Seattle? What have they done, besides have the same record as us?

Philly is still king until they are dethroned, but we at least proved we can dethrone them.

Get me Julius and Flo back healthy and ask me this again. Without them I'm a little bit on the scared side.

The Cowboys are as good as anyone in the NFC now. I wouldn't call them clearly better than any other team with a similar or better record.

We get beat by an Oakland team that can't beat its shadow half the time and let the Commanders come back and win when we should have known they were going to throw the ball. Then we let a San Francisco team hang 31 on us?

We're making progress, and I think our defense will play better. But it's too early to say we're better than everyone else by a clear margin. However, another test comes next week against the Seasquawks.

No.

There's also not a team that I'd be 100% convinced we would beat.

This is going to be a Rolaids kind of season with lots of nail-biters.

I think you're going to start seeing some people say we're the best in the conference. You already saw a little bit of it after the Philadelphia win, but there are going to be people wanting to be a little bold by saying we're the best in an attempt to get ahead of the curve.

Are we the best in the conference? I'm not convinced of it. I mean, it's still October. We're already seeing injuries change the complexion of the conference, and we could well be one of the teams eventually bit.

We're making undeniable progress though, and are in the hunt in a wide-open NFC. That's really all you can ask for.

For a team that has so many new faces and a new defensive scheme, I'm surprised we've gelled quickly enough to pull off some of the wins that we have.

i agree but we haven't played well enough to separate ourselves, either.

if we go into seattle and win, we'll be in great shape.

We may have the most balanced team in the NFC at this point.

Injuries, however, might change that. Crayton hurts us in both clutch catches and punt returns. I don't want to see a team with a gameplan in hand for Tucker at LT. We are not nearly as solid a running team without Jones. Seattle and Alexander will kill us on the ground without Dat.

No team in the NFL is clearly better than us IMO.

We have a lot of experience and weapons on offense and our defense with more depth now is starting to shut teams down.

I think we can compete and beat any team...if we just don't beat ourselves.

Don't be so hearty! We're 4-2 ... we won ONE game convincingly and came CLOSE on all other games. We could be as easily 1-5 or 6-0.

We should our metal today. Seahawks will test us next week.

Luckily for us, we've had a roller coaster year ... high score, low score, high score, low score ... we're up for a high score next game. :)

Good post. On the positive side of the ledger is the fact that teams like the Patriots end up winning the close games. No one has blown us out. Attribute the 2 losses so far to youth and conservative play calling and this is a team building character. That can go a long way in this league.

I thought about them as the lone possibility, but I think we could beat them too. They are not invincible by any means and neither are the Pats as we saw today.

Building character......they have certainly proven they have alot of "character". There is no quit in this team for sure. That will prove to be huge in the weeks too come.

No offense but i'm going to say my team. We beat you and the seahawks. Dont get me wrong but yes...all of our wins were by a total of 6 points...but we played Chicago...great D. We played you good D. And Seattle had a good enough offense to stay in the game. We hung around in Denver..which is a team that is clearly rolling in the right direction, and we beat ourselves up by giving up turnovers in Chief territory. The next 4 out of 6 games are at home. We are going to get our starting corners back. Also...what kind of fraud team plays a
5-1 team that is going in the right direction and is awesome at home...loses by only 2 points? I am satisfied with my team so far. We clearly have more heart than most of the teams in the NFL. We are 1-0 in the division, and 3-0 in the confrence. 1 good nfc east team is going to be left out...and it aint gonna be us.

Well first let me start by saying, you won the game against us. NO WAY did u beat us. Seattle didn't just "hang around" they should have won that game, they missed a fg that let u guys back in it. In denver, yall caught them on the best possible day, raining, and raining hard. Now, I wil admit that your O seems to be improving moving the ball, but got to get more TDs if you guys are to make the playoffs. Your D,, while good, is giving up more points each week. Seems they are going backwards in that regard. Plus you guys have still yet to play the eagles and gaints at all. Your sitting 3-2 with 5 divisional games left. I think U guys 8-8 or 9-7 which may or may not get u in the playoffs.

We have enough talent to be competitive with any team but we are not consitent enough yet to say that we can beat anybody easily. Hopefully we wil get there by week 10 or so. I would feel much better about us if we had a better kicker.
