Is there anyone in the NFC clearly better than us?

They are calling us a Fraud here in Philly land. They just cant accept us being on par or perhaps even better then they are. I am loving it.

I think you're going to start seeing some people say we're the best in the conference. You already saw a little bit of it after the Philadelphia win, but there are going to be people wanting to be a little bold by saying we're the best in an attempt to get ahead of the curve.

Are we the best in the conference? I'm not convinced of it. I mean, it's still October. We're already seeing injuries change the complexion of the conference, and we could well be one of the teams eventually bit.

We're making undeniable progress though, and are in the hunt in a wide-open NFC. That's really all you can ask for.

For a team that has so many new faces and a new defensive scheme, I'm surprised we've gelled quickly enough to pull off some of the wins that we have.

Sean Salisbury already beat you to your prediction. He was calling the Cowboys the best in the NFC after last week's win.

I don't think we're the best in the NFC right now, but our D is getting better and better. I feel we have the most room to grow of any team in the NFC. Much of my own frustration is seeing a team on the field is making things difficult for itself. Sometimes we cannot seem to get out of our own way.

Several of the other teams at the top of the conference have some blatant weaknesses. We do everything (at least) pretty well, but so far I'm not sure we do anything great.

The one alarming thing I'm seeing is a tendency to play to level of the competition. It makes the games grueling from a fan perspective.

It's wide open. But for the first time in a long time you can easily envision a scenario where Dallas can realistically make a run. Personally, I'm still trying to keep my hopes in check while remaining extremely optimistic.

Thus far, it seems like the only team that can beat the Cowboys is themselves.

I will start to believe that we are one of the best this year when we start to limit and eliminate all the silly and costly mistakes.

It would also be nice to be able to pick up a yard for a first down when needed. The short yard run blocking has been terrible.

Don't be so hearty! We're 4-2 ... we won ONE game convincingly and came CLOSE on all other games. We could be as easily 1-5 or 6-0.

We should our metal today. Seahawks will test us next week.

Luckily for us, we've had a roller coaster year ... high score, low score, high score, low score ... we're up for a high score next game. :)

I follow your point in general but you overstate the counter to offer corrective to the other..we ARE 4-2 and NOT 1-5 or 6-0..no teams are consistently blowing other teams out.. welcome to the new landscape of the NFL.

I must agree with Hos that the youth and conservative approach probably cost us those two games but irregardless we are 4-2 and it is ok to be cautiously optimistic from how far we have come along. We need to continue to improve and develop to be sure but one must enjoy the ride sometimes before you miss the bus altogether. ;)

Get me Julius and Flo back healthy and ask me this again. Without them I'm a little bit on the scared side.

Flozell wasn't exactly dominating today. He got abused and had a costly penalty before he was injured. Torrin Tucker actually showed him up after he was put in, and surprisingly had a solid outing.

We do need Julius back though, Thomas is the one who fell on Flozell's leg ironically enough.

There is to much parity in this league for a decent team to have a clear superior. I think of us as the Jaguars of the NFC, you never know who we might beat.

If we go to 6-2, I'll get excited. With so many new players, I was hoping for 4-4. The Boys have beaten some quality opponents. Really, their only game against a pushover was San Fran. Beating Philly, SD and NY is pretty impressive in my book.

But consistency is the key and that needs to get better, for sure.

Well first let me start by saying, you won the game against us. NO WAY did u beat us. Seattle didn't just "hang around" they should have won that game, they missed a fg that let u guys back in it. In denver, yall caught them on the best possible day, raining, and raining hard. Now, I wil admit that your O seems to be improving moving the ball, but got to get more TDs if you guys are to make the playoffs. Your D,, while good, is giving up more points each week. Seems they are going backwards in that regard. Plus you guys have still yet to play the eagles and gaints at all. Your sitting 3-2 with 5 divisional games left. I think U guys 8-8 or 9-7 which may or may not get u in the playoffs.

The Commanders have played the toughest schedule in the NFL so far. 2-3, 4-2, 4-2, 5-1, 3-2. Those are the records of our opponents, and three of those games were road games. I wouldn't presume to claim we are the best team in the conference. I'll leave that to those on this board for now. But please don't pretend we've been playing a cake schedule while your Cowboys, already presented the opportunity to feast off the 1-4 Raiders and 1-4 Niners, are somehow more battle-tested.

And for the record, our defense only gave up 21 points this week. Same as last week.

Cowboys playing good enough on defense to hang with anyone in nfc right now. Im not sure about Tampa Bay, they play good defense and can run the ball, but im not so sure about their passing game.

Atlanta, another team that can run the ball well, good defensive front, but i think they dont cover that well and are giving up points because of that.

Carolina looks good, they are tough to run on, but you can pass on them. will Davis hold up, they dont have a great ground game.

Seattle has not played too many good teams, they are without 2 starting wr, and their defense is going to cause them to lose games when the competition gets tougher.
