Is This A Big Game?

Yes, in the sense that the Cowboys could use a "quality" win, which could serve to give them more confidence.

From my understanding, the team was pretty down after the Giants lost. Getting a win on the road against an undefeated club would go a long way in helping this team gain more confidence.

And anybody thinking that the Cowboys will walk all over the Denver Broncos are just fooling themselves, especially the way the Defense is playing.

Unless Denver became a championship contender I dont see how this is a big game. Not to mention its early in the year. I'd see if it was week 16 and we NEEDED to win.

All games are big games. Is it a season-ending game? Not in week four, but some fans will think so (see Giants game).
This.

You stole my thoughts, DallasEast.

Not to sound cliche but, every game is a big game.

It is not season ending big but it is a hole the Cowboys do not want to put themselves into. I will say as far as Denver goes, people have an opinion of how good denver is that is their opinion the only fact out there is denver is 3-0 that is not an opinion.

I want to know ahead of time if this is considered a "big game"

That way I will know if I can feel good if we win.

:D

That will depend on the outcome. If we win then, no, it wasn't a big game. but if we lose then it's another big game that Romo and company didn't win.

It happens every year in some game. Last year we heard how Romo, and company, couldn't win any big, must win, games in December. Then they went out and beat the Giants. The moment they won the game all the sudden it really wasn't a big December game anymore. It was just another game.

Same thing with Monday night. Pre-game stuff had it as a big game, for both teams, because of the hole that the losing team would be putting themselves in. The Panthers really didn't want to be 0-3 and Dallas really couldn't afford to be 1-2 with an 0-2 home record to start the year. So it was some big game. Right up until Dallas won. Then it's just another game.

Now, obviously, some games are even bigger than others (as the games in the division would register or the late season games) but what the media, and loads of fans apparently, determine to be a big game depends entirely on rather Dallas wins or loses.

You make it seem like Dallas is the only team that happens to. We have a supposed top 5 quarterback. Expectations come with that, fair or not. It didn't just start when Tony Romo entered the starting lineup.

Great post .....

Only Dallas fans will say it's a big game if we win.lol But just remember, at the end of the day, it's the non-Dallas fans who trash Romo every offseason about not winning big games. So, basically it doesn't matter if Dallas fans think it's big or not.

Big game or not the Cowboys need to start stringing some wins together. That is big

no I'm sure it happens to others and happened to other Cowboy QBs. But the level of stupidity that is sometimes spewed along with rather Romo and company win big games or not is what bugs me.

The same people, fans, media, whoever, that are saying he never wins big games, never wins games that are must wins, were the same people who last year said the 2nd Giants game was huge. The second Commanders came was huge. So on and so forth. But the minute those games ended, and the Cowboys won, it was then like "Oh, no, we didn't mean that was actually important or a huge game. Nah, not at all, we thought it was just a regular game. They still don't win anything."

So I just don't bother with labeling a game as big or not anymore cause it won't matter either way. The only way it's a big game is if Dallas loses. At some point, when we win a playoff game, they'll find some way to make it out like that wasn't really all that big a win either, just another routine one, and the focus will then switch to something else. It is what it is I suppose.

This isn't baseball or basketball. Every game counts and is a big game.

I think come Sunday people will figure out it is a big game.

Ask the people in Denver if this is a big game. That crowd is going to be fired up.

Those AFC West teams have awesome fan support and their stadiums get to rocking when need be.

And don't forget the high altitude factor.

This is a trap game for Dallas and they better come prepared.

how is it a trap game when Denver has the better record

If it was the game to put us in the playoffs, or a playoff game, or the Super Bowl, or an NFCE game and we're still in contention, then yes. :D

It's not a huge game but it's important..so I voted yes. The Broncos are the saecond best team we have faced so far and it will be nice to see how the team steps up if Barber and Jones dont play.
