No they paid Dak and Zeke, and then offset costs with getting rid of guys they didn't think were playing up to their paychecks. Then tried to draft to make up for their cuts. Shrewd business moves, but not about winning it all.

Dallas is trying to keep a good team and not have down years. Good business moves, but not the all in, then drop to the bottom, then jump back to the top type plays.

Agree but don't agree. Collins is pretty much trash. He should be benched in Cincinnati, he is that bad. I didn't used to feel that way, but I have watched 3 Cincinnati games this year and he is beaten like a drum.

I don't feel the Cowboys have gone "all in" since 95 when they signed Deion to overthrow the 49ers. Jerry won his Super Bowl without Jimmy and ever since then it's been about selling the brand and getting attention and not about competitive football.

As much as I didnt want to see Dallas bring in McCaffery I had no idea SF was going to get him. That just greatly improved them. Dallas really needs one more guy on defense basically a real thumper LB to stop the run while Parson roams free.

And then what happens if Quinn leaves?

I think had we beat Philly I’d be saying all in but with Wildcard our likely path, and most of the team staying together for a couple of years I think next year is the year I’d be throwing all my chips in.

This team build through the draft and develops their own talent. The likes of Lamb, Steele, Parsons, Diggs aren't going anywhere. They may upgrade their running back room next season, but outside of that don't see major changes coming on the personnel standpoint. If Quinn leaves for a HC position, you would think someone on his staff will get promoted. Edwards, Whitt, the DL Coach all could run this defense and be good in that role as they are learning on the job with Quinn.

Nope, not even close. If it were an all in year, Cooper and Collins would still be on the team. This is a dump year.

Why is it you people want the Cowboys to mortgage the future every year for some perceived "going for it" mantra?

You trade for any big star right now and your paying a big time price. Best way to win a championship is to be a contender for 4 or 5 years. You dont do that by mortgaging your future every year for a 1 year run.

This team could lose any number of players at key positions and watch the year go up in smoke. Much like last year. One year "go for it" runs are for desperate teams trying to hold on for one last run with an older roster.

And it's so sad that after we finally appear to be making some intelligent moves/decisions, some fans are screaming that we should make some stupid trades and give up high draft picks. Think about the Cooper trade. Did that work out? Really, did it work out? We gave up a 1st to save half a season. And then used a huge chunk of salary cap to keep him. I heard the silly argument, who else could we have taken? First of all, anyone who wouldn't have taken up 20 mill off the cap immediately. Secondly, in that draft, AJ Brown, Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel, someone like that.

To give up a 1st should almost never be done, especially if you are not a super bowl contender. We were not. Dumb trade.
