Is This an All In Year for the Cowboys?

We have the perfect opportunity this year to 'win it all', but the goal of the organization isn't to win the superbowl. It's to field a team good enough to fuel ticket sales and merchandise sales. So I don't expect any kind of move before the trade deadline.

No, that was last year. Wait, the year before! Ok, it will definitely be next year. Have you seen the skeleton sitting on the couch with the remote?

Got through the first six games, mostly with a backup QB, and we are sitting at 4-2. Two very winnable games coming up and then the bye. Philly is undefeated and has beaten us but besides that, the conference is wide open.

We have the defense that has the potential Defensive Player of the Year and one that no team wants to face. Without question a championship defense. Led by Dan Quinn, who most likely will be the head coach of another NFL team next year and a genius in judging talent and making use of it.

The Niners are trading for CMC to help put them over the top. Last year the Rams added Von Miller and OBJ to help them to a championship. Teams that are one player away try to add that player in a year that they are close.

Are we that close? Should we add a receiver or DT or offensive lineman before the trade deadline to soldify our chances to winning it all this year? Or are we not that close, not one player away and go to war with what we have and hope next year is the year?

I know the Dakstabbers are gonna say that we can't win without a QB but he is the best chance we got. Cooper Rush is not going to win us a Super Bowl. Vintage Dak can.

So what are your thoughts? All in with a trade to put us over or stand pat?
It was an all in yr last yr and the yr before that and the yr before that...with the same results..nada...let's hope we can at least get to the divisional rd at minimum.

Belichick never used an all-in approach to a season.

Most teams failed (Washington) failed when they tried it.

Agree but don't agree. Collins is pretty much trash. He should be benched in Cincinnati, he is that bad. I didn't used to feel that way, but I have watched 3 Cincinnati games this year and he is beaten like a drum.
My point is not that Collins or Cooper were playing up to their contracts, imo they weren't.
But if they were all - in. They would have simply reworked their contracts and made sure they had players that were NFL level.

Jerry and Stephen signed Dak and Zeke. Then they cut large salaries they didn't think were playing up to their salaries.

Good business decisions. Not All-In though.

Good decisions or bad decisions from a football perspective is debatable. Good business decision, probably. All-In to win it all though..........NO WAY. You don't remove your starting RT and WR if you are All-In......................Sorry.

You have no shame. Any of you that complained about Collins, Cooper, Gregory and the WR's has egg on their face. You got it all 100% completely wrong and some of us tried to educate you. Just admit you got it all wrong and lets move on.

the team is 4-2 with a backup QB and thriving. None of your long lost, overpaid veterans are missed here.
I have admitted it was a good business decision. And you are only 100% right in your own mind, not in real life.

Would you admit you are WRONG and Jerry and Stephen did not go ALL-In for this season?
They made business decisions, not football ones.

I never said they went all in. I was dead on about all of it. They were the right moves 100%. Not anyone else’s fault you couldn’t see that.

With this its rush, it should be. We should trade if we need to to do. It all. A pass rush abd a great offense is enough. I’m 2007 the giants had a great pass rush. I thought the secondary was awful, but the pass rush was great. I do t think anyone in that team was as good as Diggs or Even Brown. They’d run gave as probably equal or close. Dak is on par with Eli. They a really good w r. We have 2 solid Wrs. Can we win it all? Yes as long as we do nt face a dominate run game in the playoffs. One elite player can make us the champs.

We ve never had a defense this good since the 90s. Add one more elite lineman , wr or even defender.

Maybe they weren't all in to start the year but isn't it possible that the start, the schedule and the NFC could change their minds and cause them to make a major move to help this season?

One elite player at what position?

Why is it you people want the Cowboys to mortgage the future every year for some perceived "going for it" mantra?

You trade for any big star right now and your paying a big time price. Best way to win a championship is to be a contender for 4 or 5 years. You dont do that by mortgaging your future every year for a 1 year run.

This team could lose any number of players at key positions and watch the year go up in smoke. Much like last year. One year "go for it" runs are for desperate teams trying to hold on for one last run with an older roster.
Buffalo doesn’t agree with you, the front runner to win the Super Bowl, neither does Philly or the Rams who won the Suoerbowl last year because of the FA moves they made.

Most of the recent Super Bowl champions would disagree with you.

Claypool, Cooks and Juedy are on teams that are getting trade calls about them.

Cooks or Juedy would be great adds if the price is right.
