To me Marshawn Lynch looks like Marion Barber with breakaway speed. He's a good finisher. How would my trade benefit the packers?..........Brett Favre believes that in a weakened NFC he has a chance to make it back to the big one in this his last year. I think he's wrong but thats another story. JJ would IN THEIR EYES provide the packers with a seasoned 1000 yard back in Favres final year. It also gives the Packers 2 1st rounders next year so they can trade up and draft Favres replacement. Dont even mention Aaron Rodgers, living in Cheese country I can tell you that everyone from the organization on down to the fanbase KNOWS that Rodgers isnt it. The guys HORRID and will be/IS a giant BUST.............

How would the trade benefit us?............It leaves us with a seasoned back in Marion Barber plus the ability to draft Lynch who to me anyway has far more upside than Jones ever will. ALOT tougher runner too, as I said, looks like Barber with more speed. Furthermore, it allows us to keep pick 22 and draft the Safety or cornerback most feel we need. Oh and this way we wont be losing JJ next year as a free agent and getting ZERO compensation in return. Jerry has already publicly stated that Barber will be getting more carries next year, that his role will be going UP. That means in fact that Jones role will be going down. Does anyone in their right mind think the front office is going to give JJ a big extention when his role is going DOWN?...LOL The writing is already on the wall for those who are willing to look past their personal likes/dislikes regarding Julius Jones. In fact, I believe and it was pretty much confirmed that we tried to move Julius LAST YEAR so we could fanangle a way to draft his old running mate Lawrence Maroney. JJ is BYE BYE.............

That's giving up a lot to move up 6 spots. I think its a reach for Lynch to still be there at 16 for our spot. GB would probably want our 22nd in exhcange to move up to 16. Giving away 1st round draft choices is a big gamble. Remember Joey Galloway? If we give up JJ, 3rd and next years 1st, would have to be a move up to the top 5.

Heres a recent Quote from Jerry Jones.........."
"I don’t see that happening," Jones said. "We have got a team that’s going to need some great plays from that position and I like what we’ve done there with Barber. More than likely, unless we have an opportunity in the draft to do something, it’s likely that we’ll be going with the running back group we ended the season with. Hopefully we can have (Tyson) Thompson there that could give us a third back.".........................Now heres the interesting part............................"More than likely, unless we have an opportunity in the draft to do something, it’s likely that we’ll be going with the running back group we ended the season with. ".........Sounds to me like Mr Jones is thinking like I myself have thought all along. If we can get an upgrade in the draft then its a deal, if we cant then things remain the same.

We would be trading JJ and a third and our first round pick NEXT YEAR for greenbays 1st rounder THIS YEAR. We then would have TWO first round picks this year and no 1st rounder next year. Also, the 1st rounder we recieve from greenbay this year is more valuable because its 16, next year we should be drafting in the 26 to 32 range.

well actually what you are proposing is that we exchange our first next year with GB's first this year, and the price for that exchange is a 3rd AND JJ???????? Did you fall on your head recently?

Basically we would use that first on a RB again from a crop of unknowns, or atleast by the time #16 rolls around, and according to you, to do that we would have to give away a guy that was held way back by BP behind a line that was very weak in the run department all the while still getting 1200 yards and even yet after sharing half the carries with Barber.....

I think that would be a terrible trade... Lets see what JJ does this year.

.........................................Actually the trade scenario gives us the opportunity to draft a REAL starting R.B AND a safety in the 1st round THIS YEAR. Hey, arent you the guy who used to argue with me day in day out that Quincy Carter would be the starting QB for years to come??? YEP, ...you sure were, oh yeah, you were just as WRONG back then too!....:D JJ will be traded on or before draft day. Not a doubt in my mind.

I don't recall SB ever arguing that QC would be our QB "for years to come". All he ever argued was that QC's numbers were on par with any other young/developing QB, and he was right. All he ever argued was that QC deserved the opportunity to develop cuz QBs that start right out of the gate don't light it up at first. And he was right.

And then there was the whole MJ thing, but we don't want to go there.

If we move up for an RB, it better be for Peterson. Otherwise, sit back and see who falls to you in the second round. With that said, if Lynch falls to No. 22 – which I don't think he will – then scoop him up and move him. Some drafts have him falling to Denver at No. 21. I don't see them taking him, but, you know how Shanahan loves him some RBs.

They're not moving up 6 spots, they're gaining a mid first by swapping next years 1 and giving them JJ and a third.
If next year, we're in the SB or deeeeeep into the playoffs, and let's say we pick 28th, we're basically trading JJ and a third to move up to 16, and that's a fair deal.

With 2 1st rounders this year, we could do whatever we wanted to do. If we wanted to move up to 3, we could just give the 3 team both 1s and pick a special player. Not saying we should do that, just saying we could.

And now Rotoworld is reporting that the Packers are preparing to trade for Randy Moss. We all already knew that but heres the rub........Packers are considering moving QB Aaron Rodgers to Oakland as part of the deal. Told ya the guy was a bum. So YES, if this deal goes thru the Packers WILL be looking for Favres replacement. Those 2 number ones next year would go a long way towards drafting that replacement. The trade benifits both teams in a big way.

does not change the fact that it would be a bad trade, and I mean BAD....

but this whole trade JJ thing is mostly ardent Cowboy fans who believe trading JJ will instantly do something other than make us draft yet another RB.
