Could he become the first QB since the 90’s to lead Cowboys to a championship game appearance?

And will he be the difference in finally knocking down that wall?

This is a great opportunity for him to get the monkey not only off his back but the entire franchise .

Can he take us where many have felt we’d probably not go again this era under Jethro?

If he can and if he continues playing his best ball on the biggest stages then he’s likely to vault more into the Elite category so many have denied him without more postseason success.

to me being elite is being consistently good, Dak has shown he can have spurts of elite moments, beginning of 2021 comes to mind and not to mention this last game, but definitely has some headscratching games (i think mostly due to injury). Lets hope he puts that bed for good these playoffs.

Historically speaking, I can't recall the Cowboys playing at a high level and tempo for more a few games in a row. Maybe Mike can change the culture in Dallas. Dak certainly played an elite game! And maybe Dan can confuse the purrdy rookie with his defensive scheme.

Win Sunday, & he'll accomplish something no Dallas QB has done since Aikman. That will certainly help his reputation tremendously. Whether it's cynicism or not, the majority of folks aren't impressed by beating the mediocre Bucs.

There aren't many in the football world who haven't been talking positively about the 49ers. I believe on the NFL's site, they have them #1 in their power rankings. Plenty believe they are the strongest team left. Beat them, on their own turf, in what will surely be the most watched playoff game to this point this year..... & Dak will get some much deserved credit. Even from some of his haters.

I like Dak. But he won't be elite in my mind until he's ALOT better in the red zone and two minute drill. We do not need a effffing 14 play drive when there is 2:00 left on the clock.

Nick Foles got red hot in the playoffs and got the Eagles a super bowl. To me, elite is about very high-level play consistently. Dak can play at a top 5 elite level but he is too inconsistent at doing it to be elite to me. He's not a natural passer, so he has too many series and games where his mechanics go sideways and he looks simply awful. First Tampa and last Washington game are examples, but then he can turn around and play fantastic like he did Monday. He's more than good enough to win when he plays well. People should stop trying to convince others he is elite, but he isn't trash either. He's an overachiever.

Elite is a tricky term. It doesn’t exactly mean SB to me. It means consistently being a reason why your team is mentioned for a SB. These days you always hear Mahomes, Allen etc because most people think those teams go as they go. Dak has been elite for stretches but overall his inconsistency and honestly the teams ability to win with his bad keeps him in a good category. If we make a run this playoffs and then it catapults us into another 12-13 win season with Dak consistently putting teams on their heels…you have elite

This is his chance to at least get to the Danny White level.

It would be a huge win. It would separate him from guys like Cousins, Tennehill, Carr, etc. Lose the game and it solidifies the regular season warrior narrative.

`He certainly has the physical talent and has shown the mental part as well

BUT can he do it several games in a row when it matters; like the PLAYOFFS

THAT IS THE QUESTION.

He has a chance to take that step. The 49rs arguably have the best D in the NFL; if he can do as well against them then he is truly on the road.

Bluntly speaking looking great against a 8-9 team does not make you elite
