Just to clarify .. remember the title says emerging to a “more “ elite status not actually becoming elite.

It was different THIS week.

I've seen enough of Dak to know that he can't put it together consistently and I honestly don't see how that changes 7 years in.

You are what you are at that point.

Maybe he will play well Sunday also, we 100% need him to clearly outplay Purdy if we want to win, but eventually with Dak the carriage always turns back into the pumpkin.

He had falled off after a very good season. That is why the Rams gave up 2 1st, a 3rd and Goff to get Stafford.

Yes, but the point is Goff still had a SB caliber season and why Detroit made the deal and stuck with him .

The Rams move was all about going all in one season. Which worked but crumbled this year.

I agree. Rams won a SB and now they have no means to bring talent to that team. They looked like crap this year and much work is needed.

I agree. Dak is an important part of this team but is not the only part. teams get to the SB elite player get you a chance at being named All Pro or MVP. Football is the ultimate team sports and QB alone are not getting teams to SB it is the cast around them and of course their own play.

But The way He played does . . . Dak was Elite Last week . . . He was locked in

I was excited watching Him play . . . I truly enjoyed it

It is what it is . . . At this point in the week, we are in 2 camps:

Those who wanna be realists based upon 7 years of history of Him being inconsistent and not trustworthy week in and week out . . . some in this camp are being ultra conservative in putting their faith in Him

Then there are those who are claiming this is what he always was and they expect it moving forward and this is the year Dak proves all the Haters wrong

But I say there is a 3rd Camp . . . As a Fan of this team and from what I have seen . . . I would fall within the 1st camp . . . but I do not. There was something different about Dak. Something I never seen from Him before. . . He wasn't lost in His Head . . . He was just living in the moment . . . He played with purpose and without hesitation which translated into His game

If He keeps this Spirit and Energy He will go down as a Cowboy Legend. . . And I will be happy to hear @Rockport gloat for the next 10 years . . . There will be a big smile on my face

I agree Dak needs to play well, OL needs to play well, RB need to play well and this defense as a whole need to play well. Last year Dak played bad? OK OL who allowed 5 sacks did not exactly play great. 14 flags this team did not play great. Dak does not to play good ball but so does this team

And will he be the difference in finally knocking down that wall?

This is a great opportunity for him to get the monkey not only off his back but the entire franchise .

Can he take us where many have felt we’d probably not go again this era under Jethro?

If he can and if he continues playing his best ball on the biggest stages then he’s likely to vault more into the Elite category so many have denied him without more postseason success.

Dak could play fantastic and we could still lose
Dak could play average, but the D get some turnovers or special teams make some big plays, and we still might win
If Dak plays awful, I highly doubt we have a chance unless Purdy matches him

to me being elite is being consistently good, Dak has shown he can have spurts of elite moments, beginning of 2021 comes to mind and not to mention this last game, but definitely has some headscratching games (i think mostly due to injury). Lets hope he puts that bed for good these playoffs.

Consistency, Consistency, Consistency.... That is the million-dollar word. If Dak can consistently play like he did Monday night (as well as if the team steps up on all sides), we win against San Francisco. The problem is you don't know what you're going to get from week to week...
