Is this the worst Cowboys off season ever?

But I can't recall a worse off season......Ever under the Jerry Jones era.

Here is my reasoning.........

Tell me where I am wrong

1. The ridiculous Tony Romo extension that is gonna cripple this teams salary cap for years to come. How do you extend a guy that has never won in the big game????

2. Franchising Anthony Spencer @ 10 mil+....thinking he is a complete 4-3 defensive end.:laugh2:

3. Draft day debacle. Passing on Shariff Flloyd. When he should have been a top 5 pick. Couldn't have asked for a better draft day scenario...only to panic and take a horrible trade down w/ the 49ers

4. Hanging on to Doug Free for another 2 years ...Guaranteeing him 3.5 million a year for 2 more years

5. Reaching for a Center in the first round.....when most teams had a 4th or 5th round grade on the worst performing player @ the combine.

6. Falling for the Terrence Williams hype....Watch the Sr. Bowl practices. The guy dropped everything!!!!!:doh: Doesn't have top end speed....horrible hands. Will be a bust in 3 years...Just watch

7. Did absolutely nothing in free agency.....yet we are to believe J. Durant, W. Allen and A. Hargrove...are this years saviors????? Everyone of these guys are a scrub just trying to hang on for a paycheck. Honestly...If we didn't sign them who would have?

8. Leaving Jason Garrett out to dry as a lame duck coach.....Jerry just came out with this statement "Jason Garrett isn't playing for his job".... If that isn't the kiss of death....then why not extend him?
How many times have we seen Jerry open mouth and then reverse course?....So typical- Jerry before letting someone go....Barry Switzer, Chan Gailey...Dave Campo...Bill, Wade....

9. Not cutting dead weight....Jay Ratliff, Josh Brent, Doug Free, Orlando Scandrick, Mackenzy Bernadeau, and Phil Costa. Jerry just doesn't know when to cut bait...and move on.

10. Letting 2 former first round picks walk away for nothing.....What does that say???? Our scouting department stinks??? Not to say I would have broke the bank for either player...but we basically let 2 former 1st rounders walk....for nothing.....then have to cover our bases w/ draft picks this year (unproven players) that may not ever be as good.

11. Cowboys have the 2nd highest ticket price in the NFL for a team that is 116-116 in the last 20 years. Sickening:blech:
How does an owner continue to sell mediocrity and get a way with it year after year????

12. Hiring a 72 year old defensive Co. As if this is the fix-all to end all fix alls Last time I looked.....Oregon was still scoring on his D @ USC. My guess @ the point spread for this years Cowboys/Eagles games......Eagles by 13...And they cover.

13. Converting to the 4-3 D....yet have done nothing personnel wise to make the transition.

14. Tony Romo's "cyst" just as OTA's begin. I have a hard time believing this is just something that came out of the blue. Way to duck out of work Tony...Way to be a leader after getting paid:beer1:

15. Going back to the 2 TE offense....

Really? IMO Gavin Escobar was a huge reach in the 2nd round. He isn't gonna block anyone off the ball...He isn't gonna stretch the field w/ 4.9 speed. So what good was he to us????? Your getting the same type of player you had in John Phillips. So why not just pay Phillips...and use your 2nd round pick on player that would have filled a need?

I can do without all the sensationalized doom and gloom from fellow posters. That's what the media is good at.
