What constitutes a diluted sample? He just drank a bunch of water or poured something in it?

when I was in school (that was a long time ago), guys that smoked pot drank vinegar or something like that and it made tests worthless...not sure if THAT type of thing diluted the sample or not

Diluted = fail. The guy will begin his career in the league's drug program, and subject to more frequent random testing. He's also one step closer to a 4-game suspension. It's a concern, especially when you factor the dumbness in, which could very well suggest mental addiction or any number of other negatives.

Did not know that, but putting him late in the 2nd in my mock makes even more sense now.

I'm wondering if this is an FSU thing. Three very highly regarded FSU players, who have no history of positive drug test, all tested positive. That's interesting.

There are certain markers that are found in human urine and if you smoke pot or shoot up with steroids, they will show up in your urine test. Now if you know you have a drug test coming up and you are scared that some pot or PEDs are still in your system, you can drink a ton of water. I am not talking about a cup or two, we are basically talking gallons.

Your urine sample will then be "diluted" to almost pure water do to the nephrons in your kidneys trying to cycle all the excess water out of your system. This can actually be quite dangerous as well. You need salt in your blood to basically conduct the electrical charge in your body. If you "binge drank" too much water the salt content in your blood is so diluted that it cannot conduct the electrical charge in your body and you die of "water poisoning".

I have had some training as a paramedic back in college................bottom line is that it is highly unusual to have a diluted urine sample. Most people don't binge drink water for no reason.

Depends on the team, but I think most would look at a diluted sample the same as a positive result.

Hard to tell if the Cowboys would put him in the box. The RKG theory suggests one thing, but the supply and demand of good interior DL in this draft might make them think twice. Plus it is not like the organization is exactly consistent with the character issues since we are basically waiting for Josh Brent to be able to return.

I thought it was said the other day that Jerrigan was strictly a 1 tech and didn't fit for Dallas?

Yes?
