Is TO a complete WR?

We all know that TO is a top rated receiver as far as scoring touchdowns and making plays after the catch (character issues aside). I wonder about the other side of a complete receiver. Will he block his man on running plays to his side, and when he is downfield? He certainly has the strength and size to excel in this facet of the game.

I've seen some highlight videos of TO that have clips showing him blocking the DB to the point where he puts his man on the ground.

I'm not sure he's as determined a blocker as Keyshawn... but I hope we see something close to that from him this season.

probably the best WR of the last 10 years -- at least top 3. He's not like Moss -- TO works hard.

I have never liked TO and never will. But that being said "character issues" aside he is a complete wide reciever. Not quite as good a blocker as Key but good enough. And as long as his "character issues" don't get in the way, it should be a successful season

Doesn't block as good as Key, but he doesn't fall down after every catch. He is a complete receiver in my book! :welcome:

TO is THE ANSWER.....and the quintessential definition of a 'complete' player:

Catches the football...check

Blocks downfield....check

Creates match up problems for DB's and Safeties...check

Capable of taking over a game....check

Makes tough catches in traffic....check

Catches not so perfect throws....check

Makes the rest of the offense better....check

A leader on and off the field....TOO BE CONTINUED. This is the only area that TO needs to step it up. If he does the critics will be silenced once and for all but other than that he's pretty complete in The Answer's book.

True, his off the field antics leave much to be desired. I really don't care for the soap opera with his agent either. This Drew Rosenhaus seems to be one shifty character.

Let's not forget TO's somewhat promising rap career either: For the haters that said TO wouldn't be gettin his money....he's laughin in your face...HA HA...that's funny.

A complete WR doesnt hang his QB out to dry.

i dont think the guy is asking about him being a complete player with the concern of what he does off the field, we all know what he did in SF and Philly. he is asking about his on the field play, and he definately is complete on the field.

He'll block when needed, i mean how WR's will really block like Key did. :welcome: welcome to the greatest show on earth

No matter what anyone says, winning changes everyones opinion.

That said, if TO isn't a complete WR, there never was one.

You consider me a troll ? haha. Of all people.

On the field. TO is almost complete. I think that he gets easily frustrated. A series or two when he doesnt get a look and he starts into temper tantrum mode.

He is an adequate blocker. He blocks at the point of attack but generally has little presence downfield.

Route runner - pretty good. However the best part of TOs game is that he is very good at coming back to the QB to help him (the QB) out when the play breaks down.

Speed - better than average game speed, the thing that makes TO so dangerous is that he exploits players that take bad angles.

Toughness - Well... recently he seems to be somewhat injury prone.

Smarts - He has a good feel for the tempo of the game, and usually makes adjustments well.

Hands - Hands are not as good as most would like to believe. TO has been a primary target and has had issues in the past grabbing balls that come his way with ease.

Coachability - Beyond that point, in his own mind it seems.

Leadership - TO leads on the field, he has the swagger that many players feed off.

Conditioning/Practice player - TO is known for great conditioning and gives solid effort in practices.

Media presence - We all know he cant control himself usually.

Off Field issues - No drug, alcohol, domestic, steroid, or other issues known. However TO has a flighty type of behavior/mindset, and can be removed from reality it seems when it is to his own benefit.
