Is Tyler Smith the real swing tackle?

More lies out of you as usual.

I said Connor Williams, not Connor McGovern. You still have it wrong. FYI, Connor Williams is now the starting Center with the Dolphins.

It's just a matter of time before the Cowboys get tired of Biadasz's screwups and plug in Matt Farniok. At that point, both of my estimations will be complete and will prove beyond a question of a doubt who knows more about Center.

You have been wrong two years running. Admit you were wrong and we can move on.

its coming quickly...

the 53 will be set by next Wednesday, then the churning starts looking for a few players cut and im thinking a few OL are on their radar.

Why would it be Tyler at swing LT now... when he has had zero reps and snaps at it in preseason ?

I don't think he's even practiced at LT in training camp at all.... the only LT spots was just a few way back in minicamp.
At this point close to the regular season, that would be setting him up to fail, than placing him to succeed.

I could only see him swing out there, (and thrown to the wolves) if the injuries are so huge and deep that we simply have no choice, no other available options.

On the recent ‘Hanging with the Boys’ podcast, Nate Newton stated that Conner McGovern is currently ahead of TSmith based on knowing his assignments and not being out of position. He also stated that if we had to play a game right now.. he would start McGovern over Smith. Yes, Smith has waaayyy more potential and we love when he pancakes opponents, but it only takes ONE misread to get our $40mil QB injured.

Speed & strength make highlite reels and folks lose their mind over "potential". We all see the potential .... but that doesn't mean he's the best player now. In a perfect world, you would start McG and have comfortable leads in the second half where you could insert Tyler and a mistake or two doesn't cost you the game.

Having said all that, they will probably start him day one because he was the first pick. It would actually show some organizational maturity if they didn't. I'm not going to hold my breath on that.

With zero reps at T through all of camp?
I don't think so.

I think he has had some, but not enough to be considered ready to step in if needed. Do the right thing for the team...sign a legit backup tackle.

Agreed.
But he hasn't taken any reps at T in camp.
He did during OTA's and then McCarthy came out and said that was a mistake.
So it's been LG all the way since.

And so many people here, who I know pay attention, aren't paying attention.
