lewpac;2553627 said:Yeah, can't wait for DeMarcus Ware to get the Defensive Player of the Year too...................
But it's not to late for Kurt Warner to get the "Old guy who should be out of the league, but lets give him a booby prize" award for his accomplishments....
lewpac;2553718 said:You of course lack the wiring to see sarcasm when you read it. You made my points for me.........Point being, Warner is lame and shot and done, and just happened onto a team that blew their QB pick, can't run, and has nothing left but to throw. Enter Warner..............
JordanTaber;2586935 said:He may end up in the Hall of Fame, but he doesn't belong.
He's not that good. He's one of the luckiest men to ever play in the NFL, first with the Rams, playing in an unstoppable offensive system, and then with the Cardinals, playing with an unstoppable receiving corps (Larry Fitzgerald is in the process of revolutionizing the game).
It was disgusting watching Fitzgerald pull his wounded ducks out of the air over and over again this postseason.
You put Fitzgerald somewhere else, the Cardinals don't even sniff the playoffs and Warner is probably benched for Leinart.

I think it should.
Grats Kurt.
rickwil61;2587049 said:Er...Um... Not that good? 28,591 yds NFL career passing, 93.8 NFL career passing rating. There's more to those numbers than luck in this league. He's taken on some pretty potent defenses and some brutal hits in his time. Not to mention his refusal to give up. Regardless of if you like him as a person or not you have to give him his props for his playing ability.
^+1 IMO..bbgun;2586611 said:Probably. If he wins in Tampa, definitely (duh).
arglebargle;2587378 said:Take a look at Warner's percentage of +300 yd games. Around 50%. The only QB close to him in percentages is Romo, and everyone else was in the 20%s.
Along with all these other reasons, that is some serious stuff. If it was easy to do, everyone else would have it too....
JordanTaber;2587550 said:"Everyone else" doesn't have Larry Fitzgerald pulling wounded ducks that were underthrown by 40 yards out of the air for huge completions. Nor have they had Mike Martz calling plays when the rest of the league is absolutely befuddled over his system, with a Jim Hanifan coached offensive line and Marshall Faulk in the backfield.
These days, getting lots of passing yards is easier than ever. Drew Brees just threw for 5,000+ yards and 34 touchdowns, and he didn't even have Larry Fitzgerald ripping down wounded ducks into double coverage for big plays.
Warner's only legitimate argument is his playoff success, and that's still in progress.
