Yes, he did. No argument there. But to put down a Hall of Famer because he gave his best to Dallas is ridiculous. He's played very poorly this year.

He held out he should’ve, it was about time he got paid. He just wasn’t a glorified position. That’s why this team sucks because that’s what Jerry looks for the flash. And that’s not what wins football players win.He was so willing to play for free, he held out for a larger bag. This after stating he's only paid to play Guard when the team needed Tackle help in the past. But according to you he's an uber standup guy but slouches when adversity shows up.
And you're questioning someone else's mental make-up? Lol.
ZM should have sat that game out.I've been saying this for a few months. I love Martin but my eyes see a guy who severely declined as a run blocker. Now, as of Sundays game, he's getting trucked while pass blocking. You CANNOT pay an OLineman that much $$ for that kind of production. An incredibly hard choice must be made. He needs to be released at seasons end. Time has caught up with him very abruptly and he won't improve going forward.
That would say something, because the Lions had him going backwards...He had to miss practice last week due to a back injury
About time he got paid? When he signed his 6-year deal in 2018 he was the highest paid Guard in the NFL. You're literally all over the place. You can't decide if Martin is an angel who eschews capitalism, underappreciated team player, or some kind of victim of crappy teammates that excuses his poor play.He held out he should’ve, it was about time he got paid. It is baffling to me how many people on this board think these players intentionally (and even maliciously) get paid and just quit while laughing off into the sunset. These guys are professional competitors. Someone like Zack Martin has worked his entire life to be a consistent all-pro. The assertion that he's intentionally fleecing the team instead of just injured is just morons who have alot of misplaced anger that should all be directed straight at Jerry and the front office projecting.Something mentally wrong with some people
from the guy who claims all NFL officials are pure and great and good this is a laughAbout time he got paid? When he signed his 6-year deal in 2018 he was the highest paid Guard in the NFL. Next time, don't go talking about someone's mental state when they're just making a joke. Lol.

Speaking of posters with mental issues ....from the guy who claims all NFL officials are pure and great and good this is a laugh
He gave his body to the game. He could have lifetime effects. Right or wrong, I get why a player would hide an injury. I would probably start bass after the bye a few ganes and see if he gets better. If not see if bass is a viable option for next yearNo that's called being dishonest and that affects quite a few people in the organization. He missed all of training camp and said it himself that he never recovered from it. Be a man of integrity and play out the contract you signed.
He undoubtedly will have lifetime effects but the smart thing would have been to retire instead of holding out for another contract just so you can play a couple more years for more money and do even more damage to your back.He gave his body to the game. He said this was his last year, so it’s one year. I don’t blame a guy for wanting to take care of his family when he’s gave his all the the team year after year. That’s why you have team doctors to tell you if he’s physically able to play or notHe undoubtedly will have lifetime effects but the smart thing would have been to retire instead of holding out for another contract just so you can play a couple more years for more money and do even more damage to your back.
It's dishonest either way you look at it.
He's made plenty of money over his career and we don't have the best team doctors in my opinion. They certainly didn't catch this one.He said this was his last year, so it’s one year.
