Is Zeke still a top 5 RB?

I'd have to say NO. And it grieves me to say it. Zeke hasn't been Zeke since his 2nd year. IMO. He's a plodder. No longer a home run hitter. Just lost is burst completely. No second gear anymore.

Henry is the best in the league at imposing his will but if you get behind in games he's almost useless..

He doesn't cut back well and he's not the best receiver..

But when he gets to top speed he's just different.

I think most NFL teams would take Zeke over Henry because Zeke is just great at everything even though he currently sucks at everything.

For me though.. I would draft a RB every 3 or 4 years and just keep replacing. Find me a Kareem Hunt type for cheap.

Murray was great behind the line Zeke inherited...

but that thought never entered JJ's mind during contact talks with Zeke

I love how many people defend a guy who clearly doesn't even care himself any more. Zeke needs to start caring himself before I do.

Dear Lord you must have to be stupid to be a cowboys fan. Facts and data are irrelevant. This must be what it’s like to be religious.

Zeke is good guys. Just have faith.

Zeke isn’t “great at everything” there’s no breakaway speed and to top it off he’s a dumazz. I would trade straight up today and never look back. But the Titans aren’t that stupid.

He needs to be defended when you claim statistically he's the worst. That's just stupid.
I've never been a huge fan and I wouldn't have drafted him but get over yourself.

This whole team don’t want it. Not one player except Dak. And he was playing for a contract. I think if he gets paid he will still play the same level. He was holding it together with a bad O-Line. Now we are in trouble. I would totally give Dalton a quarter and if he is no better then last week put “The Nooch” in. He is young and mobile. If they can adjust then roll him out, let him run for his life and see if he can make a play.

Elliot needs to tighten up. Every game he looks pretty good he starts fumbling the ball. I know our season is pretty much over but show some heart.

I would trade Zeke in a second as well. I'm not a fan of giving resources to that position. It's a dime a dozen position..

I'm also not going to act like the guy is not good and nobody understands the Zeke hate more than me right now. He cost us the game Monday.

I don't think he's even close anymore. He was great as a rookie but it's been all downhill since then.

Can never break a long run. Fumbles too much. Slow to hit the hole. Dallas would be better off trying to get rid of him in the off-season.

He's not even top 10 right now.
That’s why it’s so damn dumb to spend that much “capital” on a RB, especially in todays league. RB’s are about the last position you need on offense. If they all graded equally, I would go QB, LT, WR, C, RT, G, TE and RB (may be missing a position).

RB’s have little value and can be found in later rounds. Jerrah thinks this is 1990’s football, the dude is living in the past as are a lot of these fans.

The answer is no and it has been for a few years. Zeke has been slowing down since his first year in the league. He is not a very good receiver out of the backfield. And this year he added fumbles to his repertoire.

The league is changing. It's about speed and the passing game. This is why is was dumb to sign him to a 6 year $90 million deal. Remember when Zeke was a rookie and he would break outside, outrun the pursuit, hurdle tacklers? That Zeke no longer exists.

The one thing Zeke excels at is blocking in pass protection. It is an area where Pollard suffers. But paying a RB $15 million a year to pick up the blitz is nuts.

Again I couldnt disagree more.

Now I wouldnt call Henry a 3rd down specialists or anything, but the guy hits big long runs. And he is EXACTLY what you want in the play action game. They are actually throwing to him more now and he had a 50 yard catch and run this weekend.

You can tell what coaches think about Henry and Zeke by the attention they get from defenses.

Most coaches, if not all are taking Henry every time.

Only part I agree with is drafting a RB every few years with mid round picks.

I'll put it this way..If you never watched the NFL before 2018, Elliot would not be one of the top 5 RBs you'd select after watching only the past 2+ seasons. His current reputation is based on his 2016-2017 performance. Mostly 2016...
Still a top 10 RB but not elite....

Talent wise yes but he's lost a step and struggles to break a tackle and keep his feet. His self entitled/selfish first down hand gestures and feed me signs on every 5 yard run suggests he's mentally incapable of changing his mental and physical approach..it's all about him. It's embarrassing for the team when were down 14 points..just go back to the huddle and keep your damn mouth shut. It's a poorly produced show of "Look At Me" The Ezekiel Elliot Show
