Isn’t it great

Isn’t it great that after a 3-5 start Jerry went out and did something about the anemic WR corps? It took big juevos to go out and give up a #1 pick for a player of great need. 90% of this board complained about the pick. Now those same posters are totally silent about it. Not only did Cooper turn around this offense but he has also give the team a big shot of energy and more importantly confidence. Kudos to Jerry, Stephen, Garrett and McClay for having the guts to make the trade.

You Pom Pom every move they make.

I would much rather listen to the posters you’re speaking about then listen to someone who turns back flips with every move this team makes.

It’s still early days of this trade too and I like the player but I do not trust in the system and QB to consistently get this guy the ball.

I still hate the trade. Will hate it even more in April.

It’s definitely your prerogative to feel how you want, but there’s a pretty good chance we were gonna go WR anyway. And while I’m pretty sure you’re gonna want a DT at our original slot, there’s really no reason to think we would go DT given our history evaluating them

You're the exact definition of a Troll. This thread is the exact definition of trolling...

There has been a bunch of threads that the guys who didn't like the trade have since either ate crow or continued to say what they said when it was made.

BTW , I was on board before it was finalized, so don't throw that as an excuse for me calling your trolling butt out. I have saved posts from you where if I threw out the stuff you said you might not come back for a while because of the embarrassing things you've said.

Guys didn't like the trade, who cares? Does everyone have to agree, or do we all have to have "Ambers" opinions? Geesh

Yeah I know. I acknowledge it's irrational because Cooper is a true #1 WR who's still young and makes big plays. I just hate not having that pick. Oh that is going to suck in April.

Didnt like it at first but it makes total sense if they were going wr in the first anyway. Helped the offense for sure. But the defense has still carried this team for the most part.

I think Cooper is a good player who might have been worth a 1st round pick considering he's about as young as a lot of rookie WRs. I also think we turned the worst WR corps into a good but not great one with the additions of Cooper and Gallup. That duo has the potential to be one of the better duos in the league for years to come.

I don't know if trading for Cooper was the reason we turned around a 3-5 season. I think part of it had to do with the progression of our young defenders like Gregory, Smith and LVE. I think another part of it had to do with the fact that the trade showed the team that Jerry wasn't giving up on the season. It's easy for a team to lose interest in a wasted season, so Jerry going "all in" re-sparked their interest.

I their defense, quite a few of those that complained have come back and said they were proven wrong. A few of those that liked the trade continue to rub it in the face of those that didn't

I agree. Jerry took the heat on that trade yet that trade has helped put this team in this situation and heading into post season.

Yeah because the critics around here would never rub failure in other peoples faces. lol I had major doubts about giving up a 1st rd pick but knew we were getting a good player but as normal anything Jerry does creates a fire storm of the he does not get it, he does not know what he is doing. Jerry knew damn well this pass offense was not getting it done without a true #1 WR and did something about it.

The basic math was that we were getting a top ten talent for bottom tenth of the round slotting. The fact he was adressing a huge need is icing on the cake.

Wish he would have known that during the off season.

Jerry is a Driller, that's what Jerry was born to do......Jerry drills holes, that's why he is a billionaire.
Oilmen are gamblers, they take chances, and role the dice out in the dirt, rather than inside a clean casino.
I will gladly suck up that 25 suumpin,, I forgot, doesn't matter...
We at least just advance into the playoffs and I got ole JJs back., already...
but I wont ever forgive you for kicking dear OleTom right square in the business..

They saw Watkins who they liked once that fell through I don't think there was much out there that would have helped more than what we had. So they were willing to go into the season with Austin, Beasley, Hurns and Gallup. Jerry ultimately did what needed to be done and caught hell for it.
