Isn't it enough that the Giants lost to the Eagles and we won the East?

Actually, I would argue today's Cowboys and their 12-2 record are the manifestation of what the fans not only wish and hope for, but demand. We aren't just fans, we are the market, and market forces apply here just like they do with any business.

If market forces were at play here, all teams would be undefeated and the Cowboys would have won the last 20 Super Bowls. In other word, demand does not drive results.

Back to my original point though: what we as fans want and what we as fans get are two different things. Wishing for results of any kind by posting to message boards has zero result on the outcome of games. Telling other fans how they should feel or how they should express their feelings, likewise has zero effect on the outcome.

Better yet, let's focus on the fact that we are merely observers and what we wish or hope for has nothing to do with the outcome.

I'm pretty sure that I have played a large part in the Cowboys record this year because I'm super smart, love football, and can move things with just my mind.

Yeah, I've been pulling really hard for them to win this year... and it is paying off.

Who knows, players feed off the energy of their fans. So in some way we help. lol.

why are someone of you hoping the Giants miss the playoffs completely? Isn't that asking for too much? Why can't we just be satisfied the road to the SB goes through Dallas and that even if the Giants make the playoffs they have to beat a hot Packers team in Lambeau or hot Falcons team in Atlanta. Of course we would all love to see the Giants miss the playoffs but when all this has to happen then it;s no point in focusing on it

1. Lions beating us and then lose to GB....10-6
2. Packers losing 2 in a row....10-6
3. Bucs losing 2 in a row......10-6

SO let's just focus on us making the playoffs and a chance to go to the SB
What any of us focus on,doesn't play a part in anything that's going to happen.

Never forget it comes down to QB play and I'd much rather face a horrific Eli than Ryan or Rodgers.

Giants are 3-4 on the road, Atlanta is 5-2.

Packers are on a 5 game winning streak and will likely win today.

Giants were on the road in Philly and Eli threw 60 times with 3 INT's. He's averaging less than 6 yards per attempt - the worst in the league and if you take away OBJ he's lost.

Give me Eli over Ryan and Rodgers any day.
Very true about Eli. Its not Manning that the Cowboys have to worry about. Its the Giants defense hitting its stride going into the playoffs. But, your right about being better to face the Giants team rather than the other two.

None of the NFC teams that are getting in this year will be a cake walk for the Cowboys. You don't want the Giants? How about Seattle, Green Bay, Detroit, Atlanta?

We simply don't match up well against the Giants. That's not to say they'd beat us a third time, only that it'd be our biggest challenge if we met them in the playoffs.

The Giants have the only defensive line that has given our offensive line problems. They don't run the ball, and our strength in defense is our run defense. They blitz often and Dak has had problems with blitzing.

It's just not a good matchup.

On the other hand I think we'd handle the Pack easily at home. 4 of their 6 losses were on the road and their defense is wretched, especially against the run. We'd have no issues moving up and down the field on them.

Seattle just lost their 2nd best wr. And with no stable running game, one more great passing option is gone for the postseason. Bring them on.

Don't match up well? We lost by a combined 4 points in 2 games. 2nd game, Dak was effected by the cold. Eli is horrible and they have no run game. Let's see how he does now with our entire d healthy for the playoffs. As for the Giants blitz, we should have Collins back as an extra OL for the playoffs. Another lineman to use against teams that are gonna blitz.

My point is that if we get to the SB this year we are going to have to earn it. The NFC road is through Dallas but we will not be playing any easy marks....

Don't care who we play, just glad we're in the tournament. I don't think other teams are looking forward to playing the Cowboys. Go Cowboys!

I know, I was just responding to Seattle being mentioned.
