So strange how people are fighting their hardest to not be sensible.
That's guy has always been like that.
It's less "from now on I'd like to be called De" and more "I'd like to continue to be called De".
Think about the other side of this. His family and friends all know him as De, that's who he is. So he gets drafted and is now going to become Sam? Go back home and ask all of them to address him as Sam now, or that is Mr. Sam to some of you.
How do you think Quinn and the DLC are going to call him to get his attention?
Tell me that people aren't really caring about this.
This is a non issue but we are going to have fun with it anyway because that's what we do.
I care that people respect his desire to be called by the name he's used to. I can relate personally. It's like if everyone here suddenly started calling me Runny...Okay, bad example.
I'm calling you Wi, pronounced Wee.
Unless you prefer something different.
Unless its a girl named Sam...then its kinda hot!!!
Ahh never knew smh
LOL.........adding De to marcus is culture? Thats laughable. You are the one that just insulted whatever culture you are talking about.
Big DE gonna put the D in defense, in big D.
Ok, I'm Done.
ima call him scrub till he proves otherwise
Uhm yes naming conventions are a part of a community’s customs and culture. How does that not make sense to you?
What are you even saying lol. How is a common cultural prefix insulting to the culture that created it? Just because it’s not your culture doesn’t mean it’s bad, wrong, stupid, strange, or whatever offensive idea you have. Hard to grasp I know but it’s 2022 man, get over these ways of seeing the nation and the world.
Would have been really confusing if he asked us to instead call him Matt Waletzko.
Pronounced day or dee?
They will call him Sue
