That'll change soon. Witten will retire, Irving and Lawrence will be signed to mega deals, Dez will take a pay cut or be traded/released. Our top 5 highest paid players will be in the trenches.

Crawford- making 9 mill? So average salary for a good DE who is a jag here

I don't know if the QB has the balls to go to LA or Philly and stand tall! Like Eli did in San Francisco when that defense was kicking his ***! Still stood tall and I knew he was going to find way to win! Romo fans don't like to give Eli credit for their success. They say all defense. Romo never looked as good in a high pressure situation the way Eli did in both playoff games at Green Bay or @ San Francisco.

We had 4 veteran DBs walk after last season and replaced them with rookies, so yeah. I hope the focus on defense continues next draft.

It was a massive failure by our GM and front office, that they came into the season, with not one single viable back up linebacker.
We all know Sean Lee is injury prone. Hitchens got hurt in pre season. And we literally did not have one single decent back up linebacker on the team.
And as a result, the defense can not stop the run when Lee is out.
It was horrific decision making.

There's a long list of linebackers who were available and signed who - get this - actually know how to play linebacker!
Any of whom would have been better options than what Jaylon Smith is doing on the field. I don't care that they "invested a 2nd round pick" or that "he's a wonderful young man" or "the work he's done in coming back from injury". None of it changes the fact that the kid is clueless out there and a total liability.
But instead of doing anything different, they put the same struggling players out there and think "they'll get it this week". Mainly because the coaching staff has no idea what else to do.
