He also erred in the third when he had a chance to run for a first down but stopped short and threw the ball over Glenn I believe. After the play you saw Parcells yelling at him to run. Think of the way Garcia and Kitna killed us with their feet, getting crucial first downs. After his decision not to run, we ended up having to kick a field goal.
Parcells warned us that Romo was getting away with stuff when we were winning, maybe the old coot isn't as dumb as some think because Romo is no longer getting away with his mistakes.
You make valid points, but by the same token, if the defense merely gives up 30 points, we win the game. The defense is giving up over 30 points per game the last 4 games.
That has a direct impact on what is being asked of Romo - who is essentially a rookie.
These mistakes Romo make would go unnoticed if the defense were doing it's job - further - these mistakes probably wouldn't even occurr because Romo wouldn't be in a "come from behind mode" all the time.
Romo is not perfect and he should not be shielded from criticism, but the real criticism should be placed on that part of the team GIVING UP POINTS, not scoring them.
Care to know where we stand offensively overall in the NFL?
