It looks like the Pre-Dak & Zeke Cowboys are back

The entire year so far I just haven't seen the players play with that same intensity and passion they showed last year.

You look at them on the sidelines and it looks like they are all just going through the motions and would rather be somewhere else.

Dak has become a robot player, Zeke has looked overweight, Dez is playing the worst football I've ever seen him play, and our defense can't get a stop.

The only bright spot I would say this year has been Demarcus Lawrence.

Yesterday, the Cowboys thought that the game ended at halftime and that is just so unlike us.

That game yesterday I feel like I've seen it so many times with this team in the past.. Finding a way to lose and doing it at home.

Hopefully playing Green Bay will wake them up. They will be told all week how bad they are and for some reason we are a better team under these circumstances.

Dak a robot, no. He has no protection in the pocket and his recievers aren't getting separraiton. Beasley has disappeared.

Are you making excuses for Dak? No protection in the pocket? C'mon now he has been pressured but also he has been holding on to the ball for too long. He waits for the receiver route to develop rather than anticipating it. Dak has been inconsistent and everyone sees it.

I have said in many theads Dak has been missing throws. You obviously don't follow any of my posts. The OL has been crap. Zeke averaging 3.6 ypc. And the recievers can't get open. You are making excuses for the recievers saying its Dak holding the ball too long. Ya, he has all the time to read the defense when there is constant pressure in his face because the OL can't block anyone.

Dak is so concerned about potentially turning the ball over that he is slow to get rid of the ball.

A bad coaching staff unable to make adjustments or prepare for a game will destroy the talent on the field.

That is one problem when the staff harps on turnovers to a young QB. They almost always proceed to start to hang onto the ball too long.

Its a hard balance to maintain; being aggressive without being turnover prone. that takes experience.

The coaches were bad last year but if the coaches are bad you have to be able to impose your will like we did all of last year and if we are just going through the motions then it's not going to happen.

Jason is going nowhere. I'm done with going after him because he is the safest coach in all of football.

The team has put all of this on the players and i'm putting our 2-2 record on them as well.

Can I give a shout out to Morris in this thread?? Lol. The dude looked really good yesterday!

The whole team played good the first half.

These guys are famous and paid. Now they look soft out there. Our run game was our hammer and now the entire unit has not looked itself this year.

My question is there a true leader on this team? Sure there are appointed ones but will teammates listen to Zeke right now, will they follow Dak if they feel he lacks the talent to take them over the top, Witten is a voice but with a very young staff will the youngsters follow his lead, (example--go back to Butler's/Bryants celebration after the TD catch, yes it was a catch but did u see Witt come over and grab Butler to tell him the TD was called off...Butler looked around yet continued to celebrate with Bryant--yes I realize it was a TD but the voice of reason was not followed, on defense is their a leader right now..Lee is hurt and correct me if I am wrong but how many players will follow a player, good or not, if he is hurt more often than not. Many a people said "wait till next year" after the GB loss--no one knows the future but this crowd could be coming out in force sooner than later this year. The coaching staff clearly does not lead and right now I question if there is a true leader on the field.

This team is full of leaders.. We have an identity.. All of that stuff that the media used to harp on we have.

What we have though is a culture that just takes the football out of the player and makes a lot of them soft.

That Switzer punt did us in. We just made a stop and we're getting the ball back to add to the lead and bam right back in the game. It was a huge momentum switch. The run blocking looked pretty strong as well, but Wade did something in the second half.

Press man coverage with blitzing...

It's killed us time and time over the years. Even with Romo.

I guess just don't see it right now. The team is in flux searching for an identity and true leader to follow. Right now all I see is a bunch of paper leaders and older great vets young guys just won't get behind.

Nah.. Witten, Lee, and Dak are the true leaders on the team. Even Dez.
In name only. Which is why I gave you the Witten example from yesterday. Dak..if arm chair fans like us see the regression in Dak's play thus far this year what do you think his teammates see, Dez has never been a leader of this team --loud voice--yes but takes way to many plays off to be a leader and his teammates see this--Zeke--no one is going to follow him with his off field issues. Lee is hurt to much and players want someone consistently on the field providing leadership. We just disagree on this front but still enjoy your takes.

I believe Wentz is a better prospect than Dak. If you take the time to analyze both players, you'll immediately see the difference.

The O-Line hasn't helped but blaming the poor Zeke ypc on the o-line is ridiculous, the guy is facing 8-9 players in the box because defenses don't respect Dak throwing the football.
